USA Field Hockey's Coaching Event of the Year: 2024 High Performance Summit

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Field Hockey is excited to announce the details for this year’s High Performance Summit. This event is one not to be missed for coaches who are looking to grow their game, build a successful team culture, and improve understanding of game tactics and dynamics. This is a coaching ‘competitive advantage’ for every level of coach.

 Starting Monday, May 6 at 8:00 a.m. and concluding Tuesday, May 7 at 5:00 p.m. in Charlotte, N.C., coaches will have the opportunity to work alongside the USA Field Hockey High Performance staff and learn in real world environments. Held during the key development time for the U.S. Women’s National Team in their runup to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the event will center around how the full coaching staff is preparing the team, managing dynamics, making changes to their game, critical development pathways to selection, and team success. Topics will also include how to manage and think about your entire team, and preparing athletes for big games and important moments.

The 2024 High Performance Summit will provide a dissection of the USWNT’s run in the 2024 FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifier in India, where the team stunned the world and qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. What key changes were made by the coaching staff heading into the qualifier? What dynamics did the coaches consider for this series? High Performance Summit registrants will learn about the important metrics the USWNT High Performance staff used during event decision-making.
