Throughout the year, USA Field Hockey offers events and webinars designed to support coaches’ continued learning and professional development. These opportunities connect coaches with successful coaches and subject matter experts while exploring relevant topics, practical strategies, and emerging trends in the modern game.   • Virtual National Coaches Forum

    The National Coaches Forum covers a variety of topics, such as how to lead a high performance team, developing a winning culture, tactical concepts of the game, strength and conditioning, goalkeeping, talent identification, and more.

  • High Performance Summit

    The High Performance Summit is an exceptional professional development opportunity that focuses on the topics of coach and umpire education. Led by a group of expert personnel that includes U.S. National Team high performance staff, the summit offers participants the chance to explore current U.S. National Team practices, engage in meaningful discussions of current trends within the field hockey world with elite high performance staff, and connect with fellow coaches.

Coach Education Opportunities 

  • Nexus

    USA Field Hockey Coach Members have the opportunity to coach for Nexus, USA Field Hockey's Olympic Development Pathway.

    The Nexus coaching staff is crucial for the program to be successful in developing the next generation of elite athletes and future Olympians.

  • Nexus Championship

    The Nexus Championship provides top female athletes the opportunity to experience an Olympic-style multi-sport competition while enjoying the camaraderie, inspiration and learning from elite athletes in other featured sports. Athletes will work with USA Field Hockey selected coaches who are trained in "The USA Way", under the tutelage of a USA Field Hockey-trained Coach Educator.

Coaching Job Boards 

  • USA Field Hockey

    Each year, USA Field Hockey hires more than 500 dedicated, qualified coaches to help run programming including Nexus, AAU Junior Olympic Games, Junior High Performance and more. To be eligible to apply, a minimum of a Level 1 Certification and current USA Field Hockey Coach Membership is required for all positions, and some positions required a Level 2 Certification plus recent coaching experience.
