The indoor season kicks off on Saturday, December 12, 2026, with the first round of National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers (NITQ), where teams compete to earn their spot for the 2027 National Indoor Tournament (NIT), presented by YOLO Sportswear. The NITQs are regionally held tournaments, for teams in the U-16 Girls and U-19 Girls divisions to qualify for the NIT.
U-16 Girls NITQ registration will open on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. ET. U-19 Girls NITQ registration will open on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. ET.
Teams will have the opportunity to select their preferred site locations, as well as provide information regarding the quantity of teams and ranking, if applicable. Once allocations have been made, teams will be alerted to their placements and if waitlisted to a specific location. Pool placement varies depending on submitted team ratings. Only the top 12 teams advance to the NIT. An individual may only attempt to qualify once per age division, with applicable age restrictions.
