The USA Field Hockey Foundation is a Type 1 Supporting Organization of USA Field Hockey, the national governing body for the sport. Established in 1984, the USA Field Hockey Foundation works shoulder-to-shoulder with USA Field Hockey to push the shared mission forward to Grow the Game, Serve and Inspire Membership, and Succeed Internationally.
The Foundation's goals are in line with USA Field Hockey – to see the elite athletes reach the podium and win medals, serve every athlete, coach, and club effectively, and attract new members to this dynamic sport. The Foundation is dedicated to galvanizing the community and raising philanthropic funds to provide the U.S. National Teams what they need to succeed.
The USA Field Hockey Foundation builds connections, vehicles for giving, and a path toward a sustainable future while USA Field Hockey – including the U.S. National Team coaches and athletes can focus on the sport. The Foundation shares knowledge and resources to be most effective and efficient in achieving our shared goals.

The USA Field Hockey Foundation is the official fundraising arm of the USA Field Hockey and the U.S. National Team.
If you give a general gift to the USA Field Hockey Foundation, a portion of the money covers the operating expenses of running the Foundation, and the majority goes directly to USA Field Hockey. The primary focus for 2026 through 2028 is to provide funding to the U.S. National Teams.
Donors can restrict gifts to causes they care about at any time! At the time of donation here, please select your preference – from National Teams to Growing the Game to Umpire Education. A small fee (10%) will help cover the administrative costs of the Foundation on restricted gifts.
At the Foundation, we strive to keep our donors informed and engaged. Anyone can join our quarterly newsletter (register here), engage with our Executive Director (jtrayes@usafieldhockeyfoundation.org), and events. Major donors will be invited to connect directly with National Team athletes, coaches, and USA Field Hockey leadership to hear first-hand the impact they have made.

This structure allows USA Field Hockey to focus on the sport (athlete development, coach education, competition, and safety) and the Foundation to focus on raising philanthropic dollars to support the work. The Foundation is best positioned to accept, process, and steward donations for the sustainability of the sport.
