Sport Specific Volunteers
Hockey Volunteer Opportunities, opens in a new tabSport Specific Volunteers (SSV) – meaning volunteers for hockey and other individual sports specifically – will be needed. Check out the hockey volunteer opportunities.
Application Requirements
- Be 18 years or older at the time of your application
- Be proficient in English (reading and writing)
- Be available for a minimum of 10 non-consecutive shifts (of approximately eight hours each) during the 2028 Olympic Games period (March–August 2028) or Paralympic Games period (August–September 2028)
- Be present at one of the following locations during the 2028 Olympic or Paralympic Games periods. Greater Los Angeles, Oklahoma City, New York City, Columbus, Nashville, St. Louis, San José, San Diego
People of all abilities, including those with disabilities, who meet the requirements are welcome to apply.

Register & Purchase

2. Find out via email if you’ve been assigned a time slot during one of our ticket drops.
3. Purchase tickets during your time slot.
The LA28 Ticketing Process
REGISTRATION PERIOD: The window of time when you must register and create a profile to be entered into the ticket draw. The first registration period is January 14-March 18, 2026.
TICKET DRAW: The random assignment of time slots to purchase tickets.
TIME SLOT: The period of time when you can purchase tickets during a drop.
TICKET DROP: When tickets are released and available for purchase for those assigned time slots.

Group Tickets
Learn More, opens in a new tabGroup tickets make it easy for companies, schools, sports teams, clubs and community organizations to enjoy the Games as a group and experience the energy of LA28 side-by-side. LA28 offers group ticket options across a wide range of sports and sessions for groups of 50+ for the Olympics and 20+ for the Paralympics.
Olympic Hospitality Packages
In addition to individual tickets, curated ticket-inclusive hospitality packages will be available from LA28’s Official Hospitality Provider, On Location, with a presale window currently live on the LA28 Hospitality page. Tickets purchased through LA28’s Official Hospitality Provider, On Location, do not count towards the 12-ticket standalone ticket maximum.
Opening Ceremony
Olympic Games Opening Ceremony: July 14, 2028
Field Hockey action is slated to start on July 15, 2028.
Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony: August 15, 2028
Field Hockey is not currently a Paralympic sport.
Venue
Learn More, opens in a new tabThe Fields in Carson, Calif. are currently used as training grounds for the LA Galaxy and will be transformed into a world-class temporary hockey venue for Los Angeles 2028.
