U-21 USWNT Dominates Mexico at 2026 JPAC
SANTIAGO, Chile – The No. 4 U.S. U-21 Women’s National Team bounced back with a big 13-0 win over No. 34 Mexico in their third match of the 2026 Junior Pan American Cups. Nine different Junior Eagles tallied goals, with Reese D’Ariano notching five.
"This team takes great pride in the name on the front of our jersey," said Lynn Farquhar, U-21 USWNT Head Coach. "Proud of the attention to detail and commitment they showed up with for each other—and the strides we made today in advancing our game. Great team win, we’ll use this as fuel to continue the mission ahead."
The red, white and blue got things started early when D’Ariano dribbled past the defense and scored off the reverse in the second minute. Minutes later, Reese Anetsberger got on the board with a tip from Abigail Gerdeman. After three USA penalty corners were staved by the Mexico defense, the first quarter closed with USA leading 2-0.
USA notched three goals in quick succession to start the second frame. First was a penalty corner tally from D’Ariano, followed by another penalty corner conversion, this time from Lauren Sloan. Madison Beach made it 5-0 for USA with a reverse shot.
The faucet remained open for USA following halftime, as Sarah Rigual tallied off of a bouncing shot sent in by Mary Adams. At minute 35, Shae Wozniak tucked one in to put USA up 7-0. Less than a minute later, Taylor Bigbie finished on a penalty corner.
D’Ariano notched her hat trick by sending in a low angle shot in minute 38. Soon after, she nailed a set piece strike, as USA upped their lead to double digits to end the third quarter.
