Corporate Sponsors and donors stepped up bigger than ever before to help support the U.S. Masters athletes at the 2026 World Masters Hockey (WMH) Masters World Cup in Belgium and The Netherlands. USA Field Hockey has been working since last spring in conjunction with the self-funded U.S. Masters Committee for international masters competitions to prepare fifteen teams, rostered by more than 200 athletes, for the tournament.
The Masters teams consist of athletes over the age of 35, with age divisions for both men’s and women’s teams, in five-year increments. The Masters athletes, coaches, trainers, and staff have worked tirelessly, often expending their own resources to cover costs, to prepare for these international competitions to represent the USA professionally and with integrity. These remarkable athletes embody a lifelong dedication to field hockey, as they continue to inspire, coach, and foster a vibrant community for field hockey to continue to thrive in the next generation.
To support the effort of these self-funded programs and athletes, and offset the costs to participate in these prestigious international competitions, sponsors and individual donors have stepped up by contributing more than $100,000, collectively. The support from sponsors and donors doesn’t just cover the costs of teams to compete—it fuels the love for the sport for future generations as a sport for all, and a sport for life.
