O-55W: South Africa 1 – 0 USA

USA’s Women’s O-55s had another absolute battle in pool play, hammering the attacking circle for a majority of the game. In the end, USA was on the wrong end of an unfortunate bounce, and despite their connected and resilient play, fell 1-0 against South Africa.

O-60M: South Africa 1 – 1 USA

It was a well fought match between the USA Men’s O-60 team and South Africa. USA needed a tie or a win to qualify for the quarterfinals. The first half ended with South Africa scoring a penalty corner goal in the 20th minute to take the lead. In the second half, the Golden Wolves were able to tie the game with a brilliant penalty corner deflection shot by Ian Wagge. Both teams continued to play with much intensity, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw. USA will advance to the quarterfinals and will play Australia on Thursday, August 13.

Wednesday, August 12

O-60W: South Africa 2 – 0 USA

It was a tough match against South Africa for the Women’s O-60 squad. Despite the outcome not being what USA had hoped for, the team will now look ahead to crossovers.

O-65W: USA 0 – 6 Scotland

The Women’s O-65 team had to win their final game in pool play today in order to qualify for crossovers. Unfortunately, the USA squad couldn’t make it happen against a strong Scotland side. Next up, USA will play Belgium on Friday, August 14.

O-65M: USA 0 – 4 Ireland

The USA Men’s O-65 team faced Ireland in their fourth match at the 2026 WMH World Cup in Breda. Despite a 4–0 defeat, the final score does not fully reflect the effort and determination shown by the USA team. USA competed well for long periods and created a couple of good opportunities to get on the scoreboard, but unfortunately were unable to convert on the chances.

One of the biggest differences between the two teams was fitness and depth. Ireland maintained a strong pace throughout the match, while USA struggled to match that level as the game progressed. USA was also missing a few players due to injury, which limited the rotation and made the physical challenge even more difficult. Still, the USA team continued to battle until the final whistle and showed good spirit against a strong and experienced Ireland side.

O-55M: USA 0 – 1 Canada

USA’s Men’s O-55s fell to Canada in a keenly contested game. Canada scored a field goal in the first half and even play between the two sides followed for the remainder of the half and into the third quarter.  In the final frame, USA put in maximum effort and dominated the play, but could not penetrate the Canada defense.
