USA Field Hockey Announces Details for 2026-27 Indoor Season
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Field Hockey is excited to officially launch the 2026-27 indoor season, with a full schedule of premier national events for all age divisions. Clubs are encouraged to register early, as spots are expected to fill quickly.
The indoor season will begin on Saturday, December 12, 2026, with the first round of National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers (NITQ), where teams will compete to earn their spot for the 2027 National Indoor Tournament (NIT), presented by YOLO Sportswear. The NITQs are regionally held tournaments, where the top teams for the U-16 and U-19 Girls divisions will qualify and advance to the NIT.
USA Field Hockey is pleased to announce the host locations for the 2026-27 NITQs for the U-16 and U-19 Girls divisions. All sites listed below will offer competition for both U-16 Girls and U-19 Girls.

U-16 Girls NITQ registration will open on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. ET. U-19 Girls NITQ registration will open on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Teams will have the opportunity to select their preferred site locations, as well as provide information regarding the quantity of teams and ranking, if applicable. Once allocations have been made, teams will be alerted to their placements and if waitlisted to a specific location.
Pool placement varies depending on submitted team ratings. Only the top 12 teams advance to the NIT. An individual may only attempt to qualify once per age division, with applicable age restrictions.
The 2027 U-16 Girls NIT is scheduled for February 19 to 21, 2027, in Lancaster, Pa., while the 2027 U-19 Girls NIT is scheduled for February 26 to 28, 2027, in Richmond, Va.
Also returning this season is the National Indoor Festival (NIF), with the first set to take place December 18* to 20, 2026 in Ocean City Md., and the second February 13 to 15, 2027 in Virginia Beach, Va.
