USA Finish 13th at Inaugural 2026 FIH Para Hockey World Cup

Wavre, BELGIUM – In front of a crowd at Wagener Stadium in Wavre, Belgium, USA's Hockey ii (intellectual impairment) team played their final match of the inaugural FIH Para Hockey World Cup.

It was a bit of a strange end to the tournament for USA, who played Zambia in a friendly match due to a forfeit, taking the 5-0 automatic victory and clinching 13th place. The match, however, did not lack any passion, as the red, white and blue scored four times in the stadium which is also hosting the U.S. Women's National Team at the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup. Fans were ecstatic in the stands, getting to see goals from Jessi Everett, Noah Croy, and Scott Weisbrot. Everett finished as USA's top scorer, with six total goals (counting the final friendly against Zambia). Aiden Smith played a fantastic tournament, representing USA in goal.

The team finished out the day by staying at Wagener Stadium to cheer on the USWNT, as they took a 3-1 victory over Ireland.
