LA28 Games-Time Volunteer Applications Opens Tomorrow
From welcoming guests and helping people find their way to supporting athletes, fans and operations across the Games, volunteers help create the moments people remember long after the competition ends.
Joining the LA28 Volunteer Crew at Games-time is your chance to help bring the Olympic and Paralympic Games to life. The application for Games-time Volunteers opens tomorrow, July 14!
Each category calls for different skills and strengths. During the application, you'll have the opportunity to indicate your preferred role categories. We will do our best to honor your preferences but cannot guarantee you will get your top choices. Games-time volunteer opportunities span eight role categories.
Communications
Volunteers with communications roles will help ensure clear and effective communication across the Games. Some volunteers will support media, press and broadcast operations and may assist with LA28 public-facing communications.
Ceremonies
Volunteers with Ceremonies roles will support the preparation and delivery of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies by assisting athletes, helping manage information flow, contributing to performance elements and supporting key operational and transportation needs.
Driving
Volunteers with driving roles will help keep the Games moving by managing the safe and timely transport of accredited personnel between venues, hotels and airports.
Operations
Volunteers with operations roles will help keep venues running smoothly by ensuring spaces are clean, accessible and well-organized.
Experience
Volunteers with medical roles will deliver high-quality clinical care and support to athletes, team officials, workforce and spectators.
Sport
Volunteers with sport roles will assist with field-of-play operations and maintaining a safe, organized and fair environment for athletes.
Medical
Volunteers with medical roles will deliver high-quality clinical care and support to athletes, team officials, workforce and spectators.
Technology
Volunteers with technology roles will support the reliable delivery of digital and broadcast services across Games venues.
Sport Specific Volunteers
Sport Specific Volunteers (SSV) – meaning volunteers for hockey and other individual sports specifically – will be needed. Check out the hockey volunteer opportunities.
Some opportunities also require specific background experience and qualifications and fall into the following six areas: doping control, driving, emergency response, language proficiency, medical and security.
We want the LA28 Volunteer Crew to reflect the spirit of the Games and the communities that will help bring them to life.People of all abilities who meet the following requirements are encouraged to apply:
- Be 18 years or older at the time of application
- Be proficient in English (reading and writing)
- Be available for a minimum of 10 non-consecutive shifts of approximately eight hours each during the 2028 Olympic Games period (March–August 2028) or Paralympic Games period (August–September 2028)
