2026 WMH Masters World Cup Continues

O-40W: Argentina 2 – 1 USA

The Women’s O-40 battled hard against a talented Argentina squad, responding well after conceding an early goal. Lisa Lohre calmly converted a penalty stroke to level the match at 1-1, and the USA team continued to compete with resilience throughout. Argentina found the winner late in the game, resulting in a 2-1 final score, but the performance reflected the group’s determination against a very strong team. Both Heather Long and Jenny Lounsbury were steady in goal, making key saves to keep the team within striking distance. In the midfield, Afton Hess provided a steady presence, helping drive transitions and maintain composure under pressure. Despite the result, the team showed grit and will continue to build momentum heading into the next match.

O-35W IMC: USA 3 – 0 Alliance Purple O-40

Women’s O-35 IMC earned a commanding 3-0 victory over Alliance, powered by another complete team performance from start to finish. Colleen Cassada led the attack with two goals, while Christine Neville added a hard-earned, gritty finish to round out the scoring at three. In goal, Kristi Tracey recorded another outstanding shutout—her second clean sheet in 120 minutes of play. From the opening whistle to the final horn, every player on the roster contributed to a relentless 60-minute effort defined by grit, intensity, and a dominant defensive presence. It was another full team win and performance to be proud of.

O-50W: Wales 1 – 1 USA

The Women's O-50s, less than 24 hours after battling Argentina, came out fighting against Wales. USA had good early defensive pressure, and quick offensive connections that generated chances at goal. Finally, one of these chances paid off, when Liz Wood passed the ball to Suzanne Bourgault, who gathered the rebound of her own shot and put it in on the far post. In the second quarter Wales created a chance of their own and scored to tie the game.

The USA side was able to stay composed despite increased pressure from Wales and a few cards, adjusting well to being a player down. After a good halftime reset, the red, white and blue came out strong in the third quarter, withstanding a barrage of defensive penalty corners. The team displayed calm backfield play—especially from player of the match Patti Webb—and left everything on the field, fighting and creating chances, but the final score remained 1-1.

O-45M: Belgium 4 – 4 USA

In their early morning match against Belgium, the Men’s O-45 came out a little slow after taking on South Africa the previous afternoon. USA captain Danny Haydon turned up the heat, rallying the troops through his leadership. After USA went down 2-0 in the first quarter, the team came alive in the second. Keeping the passing simple led to two goals for USA to tie the match at 2-2 before halftime, with the two tallies coming from penalty corner drag flicks.

In the third quarter, Belgium had the upper hand, scoring two goals within two minutes of each other. That did not deter the USA side, who continued to fight, seeing JP Chalal come off the bench to earn a penalty corner and land the final touch for a goal bring the score to 3-2. In the fourth frame, defender Jatinder Dhaliwal threw a beautiful aerial up to DC Juneja, who dribbled past Belgium’s defense before throwing down a reverse shot that hit the backboards. The goal tied the match at 4-4 with just six minutes left the play. USA Men’s O-45 play Malaysia tomorrow at 12:10 p.m. ET at HC Rotterdam pitch 1.

O-40M: USA 5 – 0 Italy

The USA Men’s O-40s returned to action with a bang after a day off supporting their fellow American teams. David Symington set the tone early, stunning with back-to-back goals in the 3rd and 7th minutes—his first wearing the red, white and blue. After a scrappy stretch of trying to force the play, the USA squad regrouped with a clear plan to take control in the final quarter.

The plan was executed to perfection. A dominant final frame brought three unanswered goals from Aaron Raath (47'), Joey Prestidge (50'), and Eugene Smit (57')—each marking their first of the tournament and their Masters careers. Man of the Match honors were a tight race between Symington and Raath, with the honor ultimately going to Symington. After the convincing 5-0 victory, the Men’s O-40 is officially up and running with a positive goal differential. Up next: a quick turnaround for Sunday’s clash against France!

O-45W: USA 0 – 1 Chile

The Women’s O-45 team took on Chile in their second day of play. The game remained scoreless until the final five minutes, when Chile put in a goal on a penalty corner. USA was unable to answer back, despite generating multiple opportunities, including by Kelly Williamson, Jill Myers, and AJ Misslehorn. It was a true neck-and-neck battle, and the USA defensive unit hung tough with outstanding play by center back Tiffany Cappellano, who was also named player of the match.

O-50M: USA 1 – 4 Netherlands

O-35M: Australia 1 – 1 USA

An early 9:00 a.m. start and cooler conditions greeted USA's Men's O-35 team and Australia, though thankfully the showers held off until after the final whistle. The opening quarter was an even contest, with both sides measuring each other and creating little separation. The breakthrough came in the second quarter when the United States executed a well-worked penalty corner variation, finished brilliantly by Andrés Fuenzalida. Australia responded with sustained pressure, but a combination of the post and several outstanding saves from Chris Andrews preserved the USA lead going into halftime.

Australia spent much of the third quarter camped in the USA half, but relentless hustle and disciplined defending kept them at bay. Australia finally found the equalizer early in the fourth quarter from a penalty corner, and pushed hard for a game-winner. However, the USA defense stood firm, with every player contributing and goalkeeper Rogier de la Rambelje producing several crucial interventions to secure a hard-earned 1–1 draw.

O-40M: USA 2 – 4 France

The Men’s O-40 team needed a win against France to keep their quarterfinal hopes strictly in their own hands. USA came out strong and structured, earning a penalty stroke in the 9th minute. Joey Prestidge stepped up and buried it, only for a retake to be called. Running back on the field as he had been substituted after making to the shot, he stepped back up under pressure, kept his composure, and put the red, white and blue ahead.

​The second quarter proved to be a struggle. Playing a man down, the USA conceded an equalizer as France capitalized on the advantage. The tight contest continued into the second half, which erupted with three goals in just five minutes, as France took the lead just one minute into the third quarter. ​USA responded with a quick rally, evening the contest when Malachi Mahan got a subtle tip on a beautiful direct pass from eventual Man of the Match, Benny White. Just one minute later, France reclaimed the lead off a penalty corner—a lead they would hold for the rest of the match. USA restructured for the final quarter and pressed high for an equalizer. Despite some chances, they could not find the back of the net. However, as they pushed forward in the closing moments, France caught them on a breakaway in the final minute, adding a late goal to seal a 4–2 final scoreline.

O-45W: Australia 3 – 0 USA

With less than 24 hours since their previous match, the USA Women’s O-45 team took on Australia in their third game. Sustained effort by Elzeth Hetzler, Trina Lisko, and Julie Murphy keep Australia on their toes, but ultimately USA fell 3-0. Goalkeepers Lacey Pustizzi and Erin Morris each played excellent quarters. Morris saved a penalty stroke and shut down a 1v1 chance, among other great plays, earning her Player of the Match.

O-35W: England 4 – 0 USA

The Women’s O-35 squad went up against a strong England team today. England capitalized on a couple opportunities early, taking 2-0 lead in the first quarter, including one off a penalty stroke. USA made a couple adjustments, but England scored another in the second quarter to go up 3-0. In the second half, USA’s Michelle Kasold was key in communicating and creating opportunities, including a shot off the post, which Kim Romansky almost put away off the rebound. England scored one final goal in the fourth to finish with a 4-0 win. USA never gave up, and showed strong passing combinations, possession time, and offensive pressure in the circle throughout the match.

O-50W: USA 0 – 7 England

USA’s Women’s O-50s had a solid start in the first quarter, matching the pace and effort of a talented England team. During the second quarter USA created strong pressure from the press, creating some offensive chances. It was England, however, who found the back of the goal, and went into halftime up 1-0.

There was a barrage of England pressure in the third quarter, seeing several goals from the side. USA was able to regroup and played a solid fourth quarter. USA displayed some great play throughout the field from several people, including player of the match Lucia Molina Berro and defenders Patti Webb, Liz Wood, and Megan Callahan. In the end, England won 7-0.

O-45M: Malaysia 1 – 4 USA

USA's Men's O-45 team took a 4-1 victory over Malaysia, their first win of the tournament. Goals from Gursev Singh and DC Juneja in the first quarter, followed by two goals in the second half from Danny Haydon, propelled the Golden Wolves in the win.
