U-16 & U-18 USWNT Staff Announce Roster For World Youth Hockey Festival

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After one last training camp held this past weekend in Charlotte, N.C., U.S. U-16 and U-18 Women’s National Team traveling rosters have been selected for the World Youth Hockey Festival in Amsterdam, The Netherlands this August.

Taking place August 14 to 25 alongside the World Cup, this tournament features both club team and national team rosters from countries around the world. The tour will consist of training sessions, warm-up matches, specialized coaching sessions, and watching World Cup games until the Festival officially begins on Friday, August 21. Highly competitive matches will be paired with hockey related off-pitch experience, creating many new and unique experiences for the traveling athletes.

The rosters for both teams include athletes new to the international stage as well as those who recently competed in Europe this past April. The teams will spend most of the trip as one larger group, splitting into their teams for training sessions and games.

The alternates for both teams are Bridget Beach (Northbrook, Ill.), Olivia Bryant (Owings Mills, Md.), Ella Campenni (West Pittston, Pa.), Lindsay Catchpole (Madison, N.J.), Amherst Danielson (Rye, N.H.), Giselle Liu (Oakton, Va.), Kaitlyn Moran (Essex Fells, N.J.), Antonia Parrado (Bethesda, Md.), Sloane Sestito (Rome, N.Y.), and Violet Soldan (Ann Arbor, Mich.)

USA will kick off their matches on Monday, August 17 at 11:30 a.m. ET against Den Bosch and on Tuesday, August 18 at 11:00 a.m. ET against Gooische. The tournament schedule for the games August 21 to 23 will be confirmed by the end of June. The teams will be led by U-16 and U-18 USWNT coaches Danielle Baumgardner and Torsten Bartel, assisted by Grant Fulton. The athletic trainer is Cruz Castillo and the managers are Mary Beth Zahnleuter and Rosita Torres-Ambrogi.

All U-16 and U-18 USWNT athletes will also compete in Junior or Senior Nexus Championship this July in Virginia Beach, Va.
