Law Announces Men’s 2026 FIH Hockey Nations Cup Cape Town Roster
CAPE TOWN, South Africa - U.S. Men’s National Team Head Coach Allan Law has announced the team that will compete in the 2026 FIH Hockey Nations Cup. Taking place June 11 to 20 in Cape Town, South Africa, this event gives nine nations the opportunity to play for a chance to be promoted to the next season of the FIH Hockey Pro League.
“This is an athletic squad with a strong blend of experience and youthful energy,” commented Law. “The Nations Cup in Cape Town provides an excellent platform for our athletes and our program to compete against quality international opposition and keep improving the quality and consistency of our performances. We are excited for the challenge and fully embracing what it represents for the group.”

The selected roster features 14 athletes that were on the squad the FIH Hockey World Cup Qualifier in March. The veteran leaders include Ajai Dhadwal, Patrick Harris, Aki Kaeppeler, and Johnny Orozco, while goalkeeper Allard De La Porte and Gary Johal will be looking to earn their first international senior caps.
The non-traveling alternates are Michael Barminski and Rory Bleeker.
Law will be assisted by Pat Cota and Brendan Creed, and Zach Fournier as the athletic trainer.
No. 26 USA sits in Pool B with No. 9 Ireland, No. 10 France and No. 13 South Africa. Pool A consists of No. 11 New Zealand, No. 14 Malaysia, No. 15 Japan, No. 17 Scotland and No. 20 Korea. The Wolves start competition on Thursday, June 11 against No. 9 Ireland at 10:45 a.m. ET. On Saturday, June 13 they face hosts No. 13 South Africa at 11:00 a.m. ET and finish pool play on Tuesday, June 16 against No. 10 France at 10:45 a.m. ET. Crossovers and semifinals will take place on Friday, June 19, with the finals on Saturday, June 20.
