The No. 8 Bloomsburg Huskies open in Manchester, N.H. against the Penmen. The pair has only matched up once before, in 2023, where the Huskies had a narrow 2-1 victory. Both teams are coming off of fairly successful seasons that were abruptly ended in their respective conference tournaments.
DI: Temple VS Lafayette
6:00 PM ET | Watch on ESPN+ | Stats
For a team said to be steadily on the rise, Lafayette backed that up with a strong performance against defending national champs Northwestern last weekend. Leopards goalkeeper Addison Kahn turned away 10 shots in the 1-0 loss. Temple, also 1-1 to start the season, defeated James Madison and fell to No. 13 Maryland last weekend. In their 2025 meeting, Temple took a narrow 1-0 victory over Lafayette.
DII: No. 7 Assumption VS No. 5 West Chester
7:00 PM ET | Watch on PSAC | Stats
This top-ten season-opener should be a good one based off of the past two years' results, with West Chester winning 2-1 in 2025 and Assumption coming out on top, 1-0, in 2024. Last fall, Assumption ended the season in the NCAA Quarterfinal round while West Chester did so in the Semifinals.

After both going 2-0 to open the 2026 season, Duke and Maryland will face off in the B1G/ACC Challenge. Duke has won the last four meetings, including a 1-0 win in the 2024 NCAA Tournament, despite Maryland holding the 36-17-3 advantage.
DIII: No. 5 Bates VS No. 11 Williams
11:00 AM ET | Watch on NSN | Stats
There's no easing into the season for Bates and Williams, who launch into NESCAC play for their opening match. Though the Williams Ephs are traditionally come out on top, holding a 22-5 record in overall meetings, Bates won the 2025 iteration, 2-1. It was the last win in the Bates' best start in program history, going 9-0 (5-0 NESCAC) to open the year. Both teams fell to Tufts in the NCAA Tournament.
