Join USA Field Hockey in celebrating the 14th annual National Field Hockey Day on Monday, September 14. All field hockey fans are encouraged to share what they are doing to celebrate.

Need ideas? Here are some ways that you can celebrate 2026 National Field Hockey Day!

  • Go Out & Play

Grab your friends and organize a pick-up game, or, just grab your stick and do some drills outside.

  • Support Your Local Teams

Check if your local middle or high school teams are playing, then head out to the field and support them!

(There are four Division III College games!)

  • Get Involved - Become a Coach!

Give back to the game by becoming a coach! Coaches play an important role in not only teaching the game, but building discipline, self-esteem, confidence, passion and a lifelong love for a sport. Learn more about coaching here.

  • Get Involved - Become an Umpire!

See the game from a new perspective and become an umpire! Umpiring field hockey is fun, and a great way to earn some extra money while supporting the growth of the sport. Learn more about umpiring here.

Post your own field hockey photos or videos on social media! Be sure to follow and tag USA Field Hockey on Instagram and TikTok.

  • Purchase Fresh Gear

Treat yourself to a new stick, shirt or headband! Check out all of USA Field Hockey’s sponsors and partners for an array of field hockey items. (USA Field Hockey Members can get discounts on the In the Circle app!)

Whatever you do, we hope you have as much fun celebrating field hockey as we do every day!
