What is Play & Learn Field Hockey?
Play & Learn Field Hockey is an introductory clinic series for boys and girls thinking about playing on a team or joining a league. During the course the clinic, players will learn the fundamental, age-appropriate skills needed to have a successful team experience. While learning the requisite skills of the game, players will also learn the rules of play, and most importantly develop confidence to join team competition.
Who is it for?
Boys and girls, ages 5 to 14. Play & Learn Field Hockey is targeted to beginners and those who have participated in the sport of field hockey previously, primarily in an introductory experience. The ideal athlete has decided to play, but has yet to experience the entirety of the game. The curriculum is designed to provide a fun, active and athlete-centered approach for all participants. Play & Learn Field Hockey is perfect for athletes preparing to join a school, club or recreation team.
What is the participant cost?
The cost will vary by location due to differences in field rental availability and pricing. The cost covers a field hockey stick, two practice balls, reversible pinnie, stick bag, shin guards and a 1-year USA Field Hockey Local Membership.
