The 2026 FIH Para Hockey World Cup will be a 6-a-side tournament played at HC Myra in Amstelveen, Netherlands, and Louvain-La-Neuve HC, in Belgium, from August 20 to 24, 2026. The finals will be held in the same arenas as those hosting the FIH Hockey World Cup, namely the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen and the Belfius Hockey Arena in Wavre.
Para Hockey for athletes with intellectual disabilities (ID) is a hockey format that has been established 14 years ago. True to its values of diversity and inclusion applied in all its policies and activities, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) has been supporting Para Hockey for many years.
In February 2026, USA Field Hockey was invited by the FIH to bring a team to compete in the inaugural 2026 FIH Para Hockey World Cup. USA's Hockey II (Intellectual Impairment) team will compete in its first-ever international tournament.
FIH Para Hockey World Cup teams are co-ed, made up of ten adult athletes and five staff of coaches and managers.
These athletes need support from the field hockey community. Be a part of history and help get the team to Belgium!
