National Futures Championship

Jun 20, 2012 - Jun 27, 2012 | Virginia Beach, VA, USA

The National Futures Championship is the premier event for the Futures program. The National Futures Championship serves as a selection event for USA Field Hockey and is the foundation of our Olympic pipeline system. Athletes are talent identified by USA Field Hockey staff and are considered to be the top 13% of the athlete pool.

"Congratulations on selection for this prestigious tournament. Each of you is now a part of an elite group of athletes that make up USA Field Hockey. You are the next generation to push the United States forward as a field hockey powerhouse in the world. With that title comes responsibility to foster a culture of teamwork, attention to detail and persistence in this quest. Enjoy the experience as well as the people you meet. You never know the person sitting beside you couldbe your college teammate or standing beside you at the Olympic Games."

- Carrie Lingo, 2008 Olympian
