Jeremy Cook | USA Field Hockey Trained Coach Educator

Cook has been involved in USA Field Hockey programming at almost every level,from assisting with the youngest youth programming to helping withboth the U.S. Men's and Women's National Teams andeverything in between. He and his wife, Sandra,also began a club team serving the area aroundLewisburg, Pa.through thelocal non-profit recreation authority. The clubcurrently providesfield hockeyopportunities for hundreds offamilies fromagesU-6 through U-19. Cook is in his eleventh year as the head coach at Bucknell University,a DI schoollocated in central Pennsylvania. 

 

Cook began his involvement in the USA Coach Education & Learning Program in 2008, participating in a Level 3 coaching class, and has since had the opportunity to teach and learn through facilitating numerous Level 1 and 2 clinics. Cook grew up in the men's club system on the east coast, attending local mixed training sessions in his native Washington D.C. anddriving up to New YorkCity every weekend to compete with Greenwich FHC in the NEFHA league. His growth as a player and person was also greatly assisted with the opportunity to train with the team at the University of Maryland as a practice player while attending college. Since then, Cook has competed internationally with both the men's indoor and outdoor national teams, and with HC Rotterdam in Holland, before finding fulfillment in coaching. He also loves testing learning theory out on his own young children, specificallyonhow well people learn when they love what they're doing.

 

 

Jamie Montgomery | USA Field Hockey Trained Coach Educator

Montgomery is an active and respected ambassador for USA Field Hockey in multiple capacities. She is a trained USA Field Hockey Educator, having participated in both the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Level 2 course and USA Field Hockey Coach Educator Training in 2017. She recently presented at the 2018 National Coaches Forum, sharing her insights with more than 100 high-level coaches. Montgomery was a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team from 2013-15 and was the Athlete Representative on USA Field Hockey’s Board of Directors. Montgomery served as the manager of the U.S. U-21 National Team from 2015-16 and traveled with the team for the 2016 Junior Pan American Championship to Trinidad and Tobago.

Montgomery is currently the head coach at the University of Richmond, a position she has held since February 2018. She was previously an assistant coach at Bucknell University and Wake Forest University.

As a collegiate player, Montgomery attended Wake Forest University and was a four-year starter for the Demon Deacons, she was a member of two National Championship teams and two Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) title squads. She earned All-ACC, NCAA All-Tournament and Second Team All-American honors. Montgomery graduated from Wake Forest in 2007 with a degree in English and sociology before earning her Master of Education from Temple in 2009.
