2024 Sunshine Showcase Preview

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - In three days, the Sunshine Showcase, presented by Team IP, returns – bigger and more magical than ever! USA Field Hockey is thrilled to get back on the fields and welcome the largest event to date, hosted at the ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World Resort. Here is a sneak peak of what's in store at the 2024 Sunshine Showcase.

The ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, located at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, is one of the premier sites for amateur sports in the nation. The complex hosts more than 100 entertainment and sporting events each year and has accommodated 70 different sports featuring athletes from 70 different countries. Designed to provide professional, amateur and youth athletes with experiences synonymous with the names Disney and ESPN, the 220-acre facility features multiple competition venues, including 16 baseball/softball fields, a 9,500-seat ballpark, 18 multi-purpose outdoor fields for soccer, football and field hockey, three indoor venues for basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, dance and other indoor sports, a track & field facility and a cross country course.

Fifteen vendors will be in attendance, returning favorites such as Adidas/HFS, Approach Clothing, Dita USA, Hocsocx, Longstreth, Osaka Hockey, Pain & Gain/Vlack, Team IP, Teamzila, Wears Woody and YOLO Sportswear. New to the village this year is Blockstar, Mr Assist, N&D Sports, and Trend Field Hockey.

Vendor Village will be open on Friday, January 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET; Saturday, January 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET; and Sunday, January 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET. Be sure to stop by and support the vendors this coming weekend!

USA Field Hockey is excited to highlight Hockey5s at the 2024 Sunshine Showcase! Come to the Hockey5s Field (between Field 21 and 23) during the following times to learn about Hockey5s, starting Hockey5’s in your club, and to join in some fun, friendly competition!

Friday, January 26: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Saturday, January 27: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Sunday, January 28: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Hockey5s is a dynamic, innovative and fine small-sided version of hockey that is growing in popularity around the world. The inaugural FIH Hockey5s World Cup in Muscat, Oman is taking place at the same time as the 2024 Sunshine Showcase, where both the U.S. men and women will be competing after winning gold at the 2023 Hockey5’s Pan American Games. USA Field Hockey’s Sport Development Team will be at the Sunshine Showcase, set up between Fields 21 and 23. Stop by to learn about Hockey5’s and discuss how USA Field Hockey can help support the great work you are doing in your community to Grow the Game.

All athletes, coaches, fans and attendees are encouraged to use the hashtag #SunshineShowcase and #ESPNatDisney and tag @USAFieldHockey on social media throughout the event. USA Field Hockey will be re-sharing tags moments to document the annual event.

USA Field Hockey will be seeking quality action shots daily from the 2024 Sunshine Showcase. If you or any coach, parent or family member from your club will be taking photos throughout the event, please submit them to communications@usafieldhockey.com for a chance to be featured in the full gallery!

Team check-in will occur Thursday, January 25 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. ET at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex at the Northeast Pavilion, just north of the Advent Health Arena.

Club administers and coaches, please bring ALL waivers and coach identification to team Check-In. Coaches must show a valid ID to receive wristbands.

If you are unable to make it to check-in during this time, please email events@usafieldhockey.com. Late check in will occur Friday, January 26, 2024 from 7:00 a.m to 10:00 a.m. Coaches may head to the USA Field Hockey tent after team check in to complete coach check in (ID REQUIRED).
