COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Following a 3-day training camp held in Charlotte, N.C., the women’s Junior High Performance Staff have evaluated and finalized the roster of U-16 and U-18 women’s athletes invited to the January 2026 Junior National Camp (JNC).

Taking place January 9 to 11 on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC), these athletes will compete for selection to the 2026 U.S. U-16 or U-18 Women’s National Teams. Once the Junior USWNT rosters have been selected, athletes will train at a designated camp in February for a spot on the travel squad of one of three U-16/U-18 teams going on tour in April.

"This first camp in the process of selecting our 2026 U.S. U-16 Women's National Team was a good first step, full of hard work, growth, and competitiveness that raised the bar each day,” said Tamara Durante, U-16 USWNT Head Coach. “The skill level displayed throughout the camp was strong, which made selection decisions tough, and it also set a high standard for the next stages. Congratulations to those moving forward, embrace this moment. Stay focused and keep raising your standard.”

The U-16 USWNT traveling squad, a roster selected from the full team, will return to Valkenswaard, The Netherlands from March 30 to April 7, 2026 to compete in the Four Nations Tournament. This is the same event they competed in for the past three seasons, with an overall tournament record of 9-4-2. Teams entered in the 2026 event have yet to be confirmed, but countries represented in the past have been Belgium, France, Germany and Holland.

"The energy, enthusiasm, and work rate shown by this group on the field and in the classroom set an upbeat tone and tempo that made it an amazing weekend of hockey,” said Jamie Montgomery, U-18 USWNT Head Coach. “Both players and coaches brought their best to training, laying the groundwork for an exciting year to come!"

The U-18 USWNT traveling squad will head back to England  from March 30 to April 7, 2026 to compete in the U-18 division of another Four Nations Tournament. Last year’s U-18 team went 2-2 in this event, against Czechia, England, Scotland and Poland.

This year, the third Junior USWNT, a U-16 team, will be joining the U-18 USWNT in England to compete in the U-16 division of the same tournament. In 2025, the mixed U-16/U-18 team played in their tournament in Valencia, Spain and went 4-0 against Spain, Poland, Scotland and England. This year, both age divisions will play in the England location of the Four Nations Tournament.
