Indoor USMNT Closes Nkosi Cup Campaign with Loss to Australia
CAPE TOWN, South Africa – The No. 15 U.S. Men’s National Indoor Team dropped their final contest of the 2025 Nkosi Cup to No. 4 Australia, 11-4.
The Kookaburras got on the board in the first minute and USA held them for the remainder of the first quarter. USA equalized through Pat Harris in the 13th minute but then Australia’s goal-scoring abilities showed when they went on to add four more before the halftime break to make it 5-1.
Jasper Pouw tallied in the 22nd minute, for his first international goal, to bring it to 5-2 before Australia continued their scoring dominance and added six more. Now trailing 11-2 and with a minute left, Alex Beauduin tallied two goals to make the final 11-4.
