Passmore Names 2025 Pan American Cup Traveling Squad
MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay – Following the two recent series, U.S. Women’s National Team Head Coach David Passmore and his staff have established the 20-athlete traveling squad for the 2025 Pan American Cup (PAC) taking place July 24 to August 3 in Montevideo, Uruguay. The winner qualifies for the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup.
“The group have really developed with a period together over the past six weeks and have put a good string of results together,” commented Passmore. “That said, this made selection really challenging and those who missed out can consider themselves very unlucky. The selected group has lots of speed and flair and we’ve worked hard to try and be defensively better to face the tough games ahead. We will need to be at our best to progress forward, but the team is playing with good confidence now.”
This squad will be narrowed to the 18 competing athletes just before PAC commences. If selected there are five athletes who saw action in the 2022 edition in Kelsey Bing, Emma DeBerdine, Ashley Sessa, Beth Yeager and Maddie Zimmer. Everyone else up for selection will be experiencing their first PAC competition.
