Pennsylvania Adult Regional Club Championship Concludes

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Under a clear, sunny sky, three club teams from across the state gathered at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa. this past weekend for the Pennsylvania Adult Regional Club Championship (RCC).

All three teams earned a qualifying spot for the United States Field Hockey League (USFHL) Adult National Club Championship (NCC), set to take place at the University of Delaware in Newark, Del. from July 18 to 20, making for a friendly and competitive atmosphere.

The three teams in attendance were SteelStyx (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Red Rose/Buxmont (Philadelphia, Pa.), and Running on Empty (ROE) (Philadelphia, Pa.). The round-robin format featured six matches over two days, with each team facing the others twice. ROE emerged as the tournament champions with an undefeated record (3-0-1), showcasing strong offensive play and consistent teamwork. Red Rose/Buxmont finished in second, tying their first match against ROE, 0-0, and finishing with a record of 2-1-1.

The teams demonstrated commendable sportsmanship throughout the weekend, whether it was helping an opponent up, cheering on great plays, or sharing laughs between games.

The final match between ROE and Red Rose/Buxmont was a tournament highlight, with ROE clinching the title in a thrilling 2-1 finish.
