NO. 2 NEWBERRY vs NO. 5 WEST CHESTER | 11 AM ET | STATS | WATCH

If there was a Cinderella story to unfold in Division II, it would be for West Chester, who punched its ticket to the NCAA Division II Semifinals with a clinical 2-0 road win over No. 5 East Stroudsburg. The Golden Rams are the lowest seed in the Semifinals, ranked No. 5, with a 14-6 overall record and no conference tournament championship trophy to show. It was, however, a dominant performance just when they needed it, as West Chester upset the Warriors after falling to them in overtime earlier this season. Senior Ella Shockley opened the scoring off a penalty corner just three minutes in, while Allison Patel added an insurance goal late in the fourth quarter. The Golden Rams (14–6) held their opponent to just three shots on goal, all stopped by sophomore goalkeeper Alina Burger, who earned her second career NCAA Tournament shutout. The victory sent West Chester to its eighth national Semifinal appearance since 2011.

Awaiting them is undefeated No. 1 seed Newberry, which continued its historic run with a 4-1 victory over Bentley in the First Round. The 19-0 Wolves showed their offensive depth with four different goal scorers, including sisters Parker and Payton Keeler, both of whom converted in the second half. Newberry controlled the match from the outset, outshooting Bentley 23-5 and scoring twice in the second quarter to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. The win marks the first NCAA Tournament victory by a South Atlantic Conference team.

Parker Keeler has continued to have an exceptional season, and has now accumulated 58 points off of 19 goals and 20 assists. The only one of the Wolves to have notched more goals this season is senior Emma Westbrook (22).

Friday’s semifinal in Bloomsburg is a rematch of Newberry’s 3-0 win over West Chester back on September 20. With the Wolves seeking their first national title and West Chester aiming for a return to the championship game, this Semifinal promises a clash of momentum and experience.

NO. 1 KUTZTOWN vs NO. 2 SHIPPENSBURG | 2 PM ET | STATS | WATCH

After splitting their two matches so far this season, Kutztown and Shippensburg will determine who the the better PSAC powerhouse is this Friday, as they meet in a high-stakes NCAA Semifinal.

No. 1 Kutztown continued its historic 2025 campaign with a 2-0 win over No. 7 Assumption in the NCAA First Round, becoming the first team in program history to reach 20 wins and 100 goals in a single season. The Golden Bears (20-1) controlled the match with a 13-5 shot advantage and scored twice off penalty corners, with sophomore Marissa Rice and senior captain Grace Harrold providing the breakthrough in the second half. Freshman goalkeeper Tess Adolf earned her 11th shutout, tying the program’s single-season record.

Kutztown made waves in 2023 when they took down perennial powers Shippensburg and East Stroudsburg to win their first ever NCAA trophy. Last season, the Goldens Bears were so close to nabbing a second—only to be shut down by Saint Anselm, 1-0, in overtime. The roster has been full of key playmakers, from 2024 top performers like Erin Gonzalez and Jessica Traynor to their star freshman in goal.

Their opponent in Friday’s NCAA Semifinal is a familiar foe: No. 2 Shippensburg, who blanked defending national champion Saint Anselm 3-0 in the First Round. The Raiders (18-3), making their fifth straight Semifinal appearance, dominated with an 11-2 shots-on-goal edge and got scoring contributions from veteran Agus Garibaldi, Kayla Snyder, and Carme Caracotche Picone. Senior goalkeeper Emma Albee made a key penalty stroke save to preserve her 12th shutout of the season, setting a new program record.

Friday’s clash in Bloomsburg is a rematch of last year’s national semifinal—won by Kutztown—and adds another chapter to a rivalry between two of Division II’s perennial powers. In this year's regular season match-up, the Golden Bears won 2-0, but the Raiders flipped that scoreline in the PSAC championship match.

Final | Sunday, November 23

NEWBERRY vs SHIPPENSBURG | 12:30 PM ET | WATCH

Newberry advances to the NCAA Division II Championship for the first time in program history after a commanding 3–0 semifinal win over No. 5 West Chester, extending the Wolves’ undefeated season to 20–0. The top-ranked Wolves struck just 58 seconds into the game, with Finet Heemskerk and Wibien Dahmen setting up Emma Westbrook for her 23rd of the year, and SAC Tournament MVP Payton Keeler delivered a highlight-reel solo goal minutes later. A late first-half penalty-corner conversion capped a dominant opening 30 minutes, while goalkeeper Ayanda Mangenah and a disciplined defensive unit held West Chester to four shots on goal to secure Newberry’s fourth shutout of the season.

Their reward is a championship showdown with No. 3 Shippensburg (19–3), a powerhouse program making its eighth NCAA finals appearance and seeking a sixth Division II national title. The Raiders punched their ticket with a resilient 3–1 win over No. 1 Kutztown, rallying from an early deficit behind two goals from Lilly Cantabene and a lockdown defensive effort that limited the Golden Bears to one shot on goal over the middle two quarters. Veteran goalkeeper Emma Albee posted seven saves, and Shippensburg’s ability to neutralize high-powered offenses—combined with a 13–3 record against ranked opponents—sets up a strong contrast with Newberry’s undefeated run. Sunday’s matchup brings together the season’s last unbeaten team and Division II’s most decorated postseason program in a championship final worthy of the stage.
