U-21 USWNT Blanks Canada in First 2026 JPAC Match
SANTIAGO, Chile – The No. 4 U.S. U-21 Women’s National Team took a 5-0 victory over No. 21 Canada in their first match of the 2026 Junior Pan American Cups. Reese D’Ariano garned a hat trick in the win.
"Great team effort today to get the result," said Lynn Farquhar, U-21 USWNT Head Coach. "There’s strong drive and energy—now it’s about continuing to sharpen and improve our quality with every moment."
At the 8-minute mark, USA won the match’s first penalty corner chance, but were unable to convert. Just two minutes later, D’Ariano scored to give the Junior Eagles the lead.
Just when it seemed USA would be unable to add to the scoreline in the second quarter, D’Ariano tallied again, this time off the reverse.
Not long after, D’Ariano notched a hat trick after converting a penalty corner, as USA led 3-0 to end the half.
The third quarter displayed a strong USA defense, including a solid stop and clear from Juliana Boon in goal. Madison Beach picked up a fourth goal for the Junior Eagles just as the third quarter came to a close.
As the clock wound down, the red, white, and blue picked up one final goal, as Reese Anetsberger nailed one at short range off a rebound.
USA finished out with a comfortable 5-0 victory.
