COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Field Hockey is excited to announce that the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place at the USA Field Hockey 100-Year Anniversary Celebration in 2022. Since its establishment in 1988, the USA Field Hockey Hall of Fame has recognized individuals in two categories:
- Athletes – awarded to USA Field Hockey athletes for their on-field achievement, innovation and contributions to the sport
- Honorary Members – awarded to members of the association who have given long and exceptional service to USA Field Hockey and have made significant contributions to the sport in the United States or internationally
Nominations for the 2022 Hall of Fame will be accepted through Thursday, September 9, 2021. Following the nomination closing date, the Hall of Fame Selection Committee, appointed by the USA Field Hockey Board of Directors and comprised of member volunteers, will review all Hall of Fame and award applications. Inductees will be announced at USA Field Hockey’s Hall of Fame and and 100 Year Anniversary on February 5, 2022 in Philadelphia, Pa.
USA Field Hockey welcomes all qualified nominations and looks forward to a large a diverse candidate pool. Those interested in nominating can do so by visiting the Hall of Fame and Awards page and submitting a nomination online or by completing the appropriate form and mailing, faxing or emailing their submission by Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
