Virtual 2022 National Coaches Forum Concludes

by USA Field Hockey

The virtual 2022 National Coaches Forum (NCF) wrapped up today with U.S. Men’s National Team Head Coach Harry Singh, U.S. Women's National Team Performance Analyst Chris Fry and USWNT Head Coach David Passmore.

One of the biggest concepts Singh discussed is the 'Me to We Concept'. Every team will have a unique definition of what this looks like and how to carry it out, but it is applicable to every level of field hockey.

Fry and Passmore rounded out the final day with informative presentations on their use of data analysis and how to apply that to on-field strategies. However experienced you are with this use of science and mathematics in the game, there were easily many things to remember from what these two taught all attendees.

USA Field Hockey's Coach Education Team had a special guest join today. Ten-time NCAA Division I National Championship and University of North Carolina Head Coach Karen Shelton took part in a short question and answer session with USA Field Hockey's High Performance Director Craig Parnham.

USA Field Hockey wants to thank all the presenters that took part in this year’s National Coaches Forum.
