The 10th annual Junior Premier Outdoor League (JPOL) came to a close on Sunday, June 11 with the crowning of the champions in Region 5, 6 and 7, as well as the U-14 Combined and JPOL Elite. The Region 4 and 8 Championships were crowned the previous weekend on June 3 and 4.

New this year was the U-16 JPOL Elite. Just like the U-19 JPOL Elite that took flight last year, both of these events were created to showcase some of the top youth clubs in the United States, while playing in a format mirroring that of NCAA and International Hockey Federation. All games are played at one university complex on water-based turf, with time stoppage for every goal, penalty corner, injury, etc. Based on feedback from clubs and coaches, this gave birth to the U-16 Elite.

The goal of the JPOL Elite is to create stronger competition across all regions and to make athletes, coaches, officials and spectators more familiar with the NCAA format, thus creating an easier transition to the next level of competition in their young and promising hockey careers.

Over the course of the spring season the benefits of participation can be attested across all regions. Improvements in the quality of performance from the first weekend in April to the various Championships are commendable and reflects the commitment of the athletes, parents, coaches, umpires, technical staff and many others.

This was our club's first year competing in JPOL. We have appreciated the communication and professionalism from the leadership team. The organization on game day, staffing has been outstanding as well. Scheduling wise, we've appreciated having games closely spaced together.” - Next Level, MD

At this time, let's recognize and celebrate all the victors and show appreciation to all participants, officials, supporters, volunteers and sponsors.

The continued success of this league would not be possible without the support of many who tirelessly give of their time and experience. Much appreciation to the club directors, coaches and their membership who join us each spring to make this league possible. Many thanks to the Umpire Managers, Technical Delegates and their staff of dedicated Technical Officers and Umpires. You all give so much of you time and talent to be part of this event and its continued successes.

Special thanks and appreciation to the parent Judges from each club who stepped up each week to give a helping hand at the Technical Table, making sure that the results, game clock and statistics are correct. We thank you for your service!

To our dedicated JPH Directors - Lurah Hess, Kim Scott, Rachael Bloemker and Nigel Traverso - for the countless hours of dedication behind the scenes that allow JPH to achieve and celebrate this milestone of ten successful years of event planning and organization. Thank you all for continuing to grow the game!

A shout out to those college coaches who took the time to attend the numerous competitions in each region and to show their continued support. It is always a pleasure to see you all in attendance showing your support for this event and hope you will continue to attend and recruit at all of our JPH events. We believe that this is a perfect arena for recruiting and in most cases just a short drive away.

Much appreciation to the university and private institutions for granting access and use of your facilities year after year. We hope to continue developing great working and supportive relationships and that you continue to make your facilities affordable and accessible to us.

Special recognition to major sponsor Rothman Orthopedics and Harrow Sports USA - Official Individual Awards Sponsor. Thank you for your continued support!

To USA Field Hockey and Staff who we worked closely throughout the year, we appreciate the continued support shown in working together for the good of the sport and your membership. We thank you and look forward to continuing to build and strengthen our relationship as a Sanctioned event, that benefits the membership and at the same time helping to Growing the Game by providing opportunities for athletes, coaches, umpires, umpire managers and technical officials.
