Boys field hockey is growing! USA Field Hockey encourages all clubs to welcome the boys' side of the game to your organization! For those interested in offering boys programming, or if interested in starting a sanctioned boys site please email mbakerman@usafieldhockey.com. Grant funding for start-up sites is available to suitable candidates.

USA Field Hockey encourages all member clubs to embrace field hockey as a sport for all, and a sport for life. Click on the map below for a list of USA Field Hockey member clubs that welcome boys in their programming. USA Field Hockey continues to add boys’ and men’s divisions to National Events as the interest grows. Boys who do not participate in a club but would like to play at National Events are welcome to sign up as individual guest players.

There are currently four USA Field Hockey Boy’s Regional Training Sites in the United States. USA Field Hockey in interested in working with qualified coaches throughout the country who are interested in developing training and competition opportunities specifically for youth boys. Several Regional Training Sites serve as development sites for Men’s Junior High Performance programming.

If you’re an athlete aspiring to play at the highest levels we have regional centers and regional High Performance Centers that provide additional training on top of your club/ school program. These centers are the next step in the Men's Olympic Development Pathway to ultimately play for the junior and senior U.S. Men's National Teams.

Regional High Performance Centers

  • USA Field Hockey

    Held each year from February to early March, the National Indoor Tournament (NIT) is held at several locations around the United States to accommodate all age groups and participating athletes. The NIT includes age divisions for boys in the U-10 Co-Ed, U-12 Co-Ed, U-19 and Adult divisions.

  • USA Field Hockey

    The California Cup, a USA Field Hockey Sanctioned Event, is one of the largest and longest running field hockey tournaments in the world. The tournament is held annually on Memorial Day weekend in Moorpark, Calif. and features multiple age groups for boys.

  • USA Field Hockey

    Also one of the longest running field hockey tournaments in existence, the National Hockey Festival is held each year on Thanksgiving weekend and features youth and adult age divisions. In 2019, Festival also added an All-Boys U-17 7v7 Tournament and clinic to provide more playing opportunities.
