David Passmore is the Head Coach of the U.S. Women’s National Team, leading the program’s rebuild toward the 2026 World Cup and LA 2028 Olympics. A respected international coach, educator, and self-described “pracademic,” David blends his love for coaching with the science behind it—bringing decades of experience from Ireland, Great Britain, and the NCAA, and a reputation for innovation in culture, leadership, and performance development.
Allan Law
Head Coach, U.S. Men’s National Team
Allan Law, Head Coach of the U.S. Men’s National Team, brings over 20 years of coaching experience across collegiate and international levels. He previously helped guide Syracuse University to its first NCAA Championship in 2015 and led the U-21 Women’s National Team to silver at the 2024 Junior Pan American Championship. Known for his detail-oriented, people-first approach, Allan is driving standards and culture as he leads the U.S. Men’s program toward LA 2028.
Brendan Creed
Assistant Coach, U.S. Men’s National Team
Brendan Creed is the Assistant Coach for the U.S. Men’s National Team, working alongside Head Coach Allan Law. A former England and Great Britain international and Tokyo 2020 Olympian, Brendan brings international experience and technical knowledge to his coaching role. He is married to Maddie Hinch, Assistant Coach for the U.S. Women’s National Team and Olympic Gold Medalist.
Rein Van Eijk
Head Coach, Belgium Women’s National Team
Rein van Eijk is an experienced international coach and FIH Level 5 High Performance Coach, currently leading the Belgium Women’s National Team. He previously served as Head Coach of Germany’s U21 Men’s and National Indoor Teams and guided Berliner Hockey Club to multiple Bundesliga Final Four appearances and indoor championship titles. Rein also works with the Tamil Nadu Dragons in India’s Hockey Premier League. Known for his analytical mind and athlete-centered approach, he brings creativity, precision, and a deep understanding of high-performance hockey to every environment he leads.
Marcel Balkestein
National Team Defense Trainer, Netherlands & U.S. National Teams
Marcel Balkestein is a former Netherlands Men's National Team defender with 108 caps, an Olympic silver medal (2012), World Cup silver (2014), and bronze (2010). With four Dutch national titles and an EHL championship with Oranje-Zwart, he is now recognized as a leading defensive coach and specialist in the art of defending.
Marcel serves as Defense Trainer for the Dutch Men’s National Team (since 2021) and USA Field Hockey’s Women’s National Team (2025), combining his modern, analytical approach with a deep understanding of what defines elite defensive play in today’s game.
Alice Atalanta
Founder, Atalanta Leadership Forge
Dr. Alice Atalanta is a writer, educator, and performance consultant specializing in leadership, resilience, and empowerment. She holds a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies and has spent more than a decade working with elite performers in both the military and sport.
Alice has partnered extensively with members of U.S. Special Operations, including Navy SEALs and Army Special Forces, to support leadership development, communication, and mental performance. She currently serves as a consultant to the U.S. Women’s National Team, working closely with High Performance Director Craig Parnham and Head Coach David Passmore to enhance leadership, culture, and team dynamics within USA Field Hockey’s high-performance program.
Hannah Jaussen
Athletic Trainer, U.S. Women's National Team
Hannah Jaussen is a physiotherapist and athletic trainer with the U.S. Women’s National Field Hockey Team, specializing in athlete care and performance support. She focuses on helping female athletes understand and manage the physiological changes that impact training, recovery, and consistency. With degrees from Clarion University and Utah State University, she blends sport-science expertise with practical, on-field application. During the Forum, Hannah will share practical, science-informed strategies to help coaches better support the physical needs and long-term development of their athletes.
