Indoor USMNT Names Roster for 2023 Nkosi Cup in South Africa

CAPE TOWN, South Africa – Following the naming of the Junior and Senior U.S. Men’s National Indoor Teams, Head Coach Jason Mulder has named the squad that will travel to Cape Town, South Africa for the 2023 Nkosi Cup from December 15 to 19.

“We are excited to start the indoor season off in Cape Town, South Africa this year,” said Mulder. “As mentioned before, this group is the start of us building capacity within the indoor program. The squad is dynamic and is made up of some of our most experienced indoor players as well as a few U-21 athletes who are starting their transition into the senior division."

“I have no doubt that this will be a challenging tour for us, but we welcome those challenges as they are steps toward growth.”

The No. 8 USA will play No. 7 South Africa, No. 11 Kazakhstan and No. 13 Namibia. The Wolves faced both South Africa and Namibia at the 2023 FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup in February. USA topped South Africa 5-2 but narrowly defeated to Namibia 3-2..
