2024 WMH Masters World Cup Training & Selection Announced

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - In an effort to grow the Masters movement domestically and succeed internationally, the U.S. Masters committee has outlined the training and selection pathway to the 2024 World Masters Hockey (WMH) Masters World Cup (MWC), which will be hosted in Cape Town, South Africa and Auckland, New Zealand based upon age group.

2024 MWC Dates & Locations:

Any Masters-eligible athlete (turning 35 or older in 2024) is encouraged to register and respond to an interest survey by Saturday, February 10. Registering for Masters will help cultivate the community, strengthen skills through more playing opportunities, and build fitness through a Masters-specific training program.

Regional training camps (2) will be hosted to provide skill development, playing opportunities and exposure prior to final selection. Events include:

  • Regional training camp in Davis, Calif. - February 24-25
  • Regional training camp in Charlotte, N.C. - March 16-17
  • MWC Selection Tournament in Richmond and Williamsburg, Va. - May 4-5

All Masters players are welcome to register for one or both training weekends. Players vying for a World Cup team are expected to attend the MWC Selection, though all Masters players seeking training and development are welcome to attend regardless of your intent to play in the 2024 MWC.
