ASUNCIÓN, Paraguay – To close out 2025 Junior Pan American Games (JPAG)  pool play, the No. 6 Junior U.S. Women’s National Team took on No. 35 Guyana. It took a bit for the Junior Eagles to get going, but once they started, they displayed their scoring dominance by shutting out Guyana 11-0. The win earned them the top finish in their pool and a place in the semifinals.

Although the USA came out within the first 36 seconds to earn three penalty corners in a row, it wouldn’t be until the end of the first quarter when they put one on the board. The goal came from Milaw Clause who had an individual run into the circle and pushed it on frame.

USA turned on their offensive pressure in the second quarter adding four more goals to their lead.

The first came in the 18th minute when Macy Szukicz ran the baseline and placed it where Alaina McVeigh could one-time sweep it in.

A minute later off a set piece, Olivia McKenna’s drag was deflected off the crossbar and Maci Bradford was there to bat it in out of the air.

It was Alaina McVeigh again in the 21st minute who received a backhand sweep pass from Maci Bradford and reserve flicked into the net. Eight minutes later, off a set piece, Olivia McKenna sent the perfect placement down to Talia Schenck for the deflection in off the post for the 5-0 halftime lead.

In the 34th minute, following a backhand shot from Alaina McVeigh, Rylie Wollerton scored on the rebound.

USA was held scoreless for 8 minutes when Guyana continued to make it a challenge by putting all their players behind their defending-25. The next goal came when Ava Moore pushed it into the circle and with space Rylie Wollerton converted on a backhand to make it 7-0.

A minute later, off a set piece, it was Ava Moore who got on the board after collecting a rebound and backhanding it in.

In the 51st minute, Madison Beach dribbled into the circle and Alaina McVeigh was there to deflect it into the far corner.
