USA Field Hockey & Leap Hockey Collaborate on FUNdamental Field Hockey Video Series

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Field Hockey and Leap Hockey have collaborated to create a series of FUNdamental Field Hockey videos. These videos are aimed at teachers and coaches who are learning the game themselves as they learn how to teach the game of field hockey to beginners. The goal for the program is to help make introducing field hockey in group settings, such as physical education classes, park and recreation programming, volunteer-led clinics and more, easy, safe and fun to do. The videos bring the FUNdamental Field Hockey curriculum to life, providing accurate and reliable video instruction in short, easy to watch, snippets. Each video is under five minutes. These videos add to USA Field Hockey's long list of resources available to help leaders across the United States promote and grow the game, especially in the lead up to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, where it is expected that millions will tune in to watch Team USA compete, and be eager to learn the game themselves.

“Leap Hockey has done a wonderful job of bringing to life the proven concepts of teaching the game documented in the USA Field Hockey FUNdamental Field Hockey curriculum," said Ginger Wheeler, USA Field Hockey’s Commercial Partnership and Marketing Manager. "Bringing these videos to PE teachers, entry-level field hockey coaches, and to new players, helps to bring more people into the game. Individuals who teach/coach at multi-sport organizations such as YMCAs, camps, Boys and Girls Clubs, scouts, park districts, schools, etc., want to bring in new learning for their students and this gives them a chance to make field hockey a fun and easy to teach curriculum for them.”
