USA Field Hockey Restructures to Include New Chief Operating Officer Position
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – With the growth of programming and to align better with the strategic plan and mission, USA Field Hockey is pleased to announce a new position of Chief Operating Officer. This role will focus on the organization’s strand to Serve and Inspire Membership while ensuring the experience of members across the Regional, National and Sanctioned Events, Nexus and Membership are efficiently coordinated. Stepping into this role will be Liz Sanders, who previously served as the Director of Nexus since 2022.
“USA Field Hockey has grown in programming, with record highs of registrations, membership and revenue this past year, and with this growth comes increased organizational complexity,” said Simon Hoskins, USA Field Hockey’s Executive Director. “The role will ensure we provide amazing and enriching field hockey experiences for all members in their field hockey journeys.”
“Liz has demonstrated in her 10 years contributing to USA Field Hockey, as a regional manager and full-time staff member, that she great skill in effectively building valued programming. She has breadth of experience and understanding across the sport and is a great collaborator and leader.”

Taylor Rideout will move to the new role of Assistant Director of Nexus, leading the Olympic Development Pathway program. Nicole Morgan has been hired as a Nexus Manager.
The COO will have direct oversight of staff leading the Nexus program, Events staff and portfolio, which includes the Sunshine Showcase, National Indoor Tournament and Qualifiers, National Indoor Festival, Regional and National Club Championships and National Hockey Festival, and membership staff. She will also have oversight of USA Field Hockey’s Coach Education program.
