THE HAGUE, Netherlands – After an action-packed week of training and competition, the Junior U.S. Men’s National Team returned from their 2025 Holland Tour in The Hague, Netherlands. The U-18 USMNT came home with a 5-0-2 record, while the U-21 USMNT went 2-0-3 overall.

U-18 USMNT

The U-18 USMNT started off the week with a 4-0 victory over Rijswijk JO on Tuesday, April 14. Their next match would not be until Friday, where the USA side fell to a 1-1 record after a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Zoetermeer. It was a quick bounce back for the Junior Wolves, who won their next two matches against Westlake Boys and Hilversum by scores of 2-0 and 5-2, respectively. Their next contest was a gritty 2-1 victory over SCHC, but the winning streak was broken in the next match with a 5-2 loss to Epsom. The U-18 USMNT ended strong with a 5-0 shutout against Polisportiva Galatea Catania in their last game. This was the first time leading the squad for head coach Austin Pile.

“This tour was a great experience for the aspiring players in the system to be exposed to what high performance hockey looks like,” said Pile. “They learned to translate the tactics and skills worked on in trainings, and to implements them in game play. The team grew from game to game and were able to embrace the demands and expectations that come with national team environments. The coaching staff was very pleased with the development shown and are excited to help facilitate more growth in the future.”

U-21 USMNT

The U-21 USMNT kicked off the tournament with three of their toughest opponents. Despite opening with a trio of losses, each was by just a one goal margin. The first was a 2-1 loss to Rijswijk Heren, the second a 3-2 defeat to Laren Heren 1, and the third a 4-3 loss to Rot Weiss. The USA side ended strong with two wins to notch a record of 2-3 for the week – picking up 6-1 and 11-3 victories over Hanau. The U-21 USMNT entered the tournament with a young roster, gaining experience with each match to help put themselves in the best position for the upcoming Junior Pan American Games (JPAG), taking place in Paraguay in early August.

The two Junior USMNT squads scored a combined 43 goals across 12 games, showcasing some of their talent in goal scoring. Both of the teams feature hardworking, versatile athletes who return to the U.S. after their tour hungry for more. The Junior USMNT will reconvene in Moorpark, Calif. in May for a training camp prior to competing in the 2025 Cal Cup.
