The road to the Northeast-10 Field Hockey Championship begins this Tuesday at four locations, and will continue on Thursday in Worcester, where top-seeded Assumption will host after an impressive 11-1 conference campaign. The No. 8 nationally ranked Greyhounds' dominance this fall, including a 10-game winning streak in league play and a stingy defense that allowed just six goals against conference opponents, has cemented their place as the team to beat. Senior Elle Murray leads the high-powered offense with 12 goals, while fifth-year goalkeeper Paige Gillette anchors a defense that has allowed less than one goal per game.

The Greyhounds will host No. 8 seed Franklin Pierce on Tuesday’s slate of quarterfinals, a match they won by a hefty 7-1 back in September.

The tournament field features several nationally competitive programs. Adelphi, the No. 2 seed, cracked the NFHCA Coaches Poll this season, holding the No. 10 spot for one week in October. The Panthers, led by league top scorer Lana Mignon De Wet and standout playmaker Jena Geels, will face No. 7 So. Connecticut State in the quarterfinals. Adelphi took a 3-1 victory in this match-up earlier this fall, with de Wet registering a five point game.

Saint Anselm, the reigning NCAA DII National Champion, earned the No. 3 seed after a 10-2 conference season, finishing strong with five consecutive shutouts and relying on first-year starter Mackenzie Wehrum’s stellar goalkeeping. The Hawks will face No. 6 Pace in the quarterfinals after a 3-1 win over the Setters this past September.

Holding the middle slots are No. 5 Southern New Hampshire and No. 4 Bentley, who earned the final home quarterfinal by notching a 2-1 win over Assumption earlier this fall. When this duo met in the regular season, Bentley’s Gracie Moore found the golden goal in overtime to win 4-3.

The 2025 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament kicks off this Tuesday, with six teams prepped and ready for a high-stakes postseason.

No. 1 seed Kutztown and No. 2 seed East Stroudsburg earned first-round byes as the top two teams after outstanding regular seasons. Kutztown completed its second perfect season, going 18-0 and finishing undefeated in PSAC play for the first time, again proving their No. 1 national ranking. The Golden Bears capped off the regular season with a 2-0 shutout over No. 2 nationally ranked Shippensburg. A slew of offensive threats lurk in the ranks, including Erin Gonzalez, Marissa Rice, and Grace Harrold.

East Stroudsburg capped its regular season with a decisive 8-2 win over Frostburg State, highlighting a season with losses only to No. 1 Kutztown and No. 5 West Chester. The Warriors even handed Shippensburg their first loss of the season on October 11, edging out the Raiders 3-2.

In the quarterfinals, No. 3 Shippensburg will host No. 6 Bloomsburg on Tuesday at Robb Sports Complex. When the two squads faced off this season, a scoreless 80 minutes of play was resolved in a shootout, as Bloomsburg defeated Shippensburg for the first time since 2015. Last year’s PSAC semifinal between the two went into overtime with the Raiders prevailing 2-1.

Meanwhile, No. 5 Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) will travel to take on No. 4 West Chester University at Vonnie Gros Field. The match-up comes just days after IUP took a 2-0 win over West Chester, highlighted by a pair of goals from junior forward Jess Davidson, while Crimson Hawks goalkeeper Celeste Pagliaroli recorded a four-save shutout. West Chester was one of just two teams to take out East Stroudsburg this year, a 2-1 OT win back in September.

Semifinals are set for Friday, November 7. Kutztown will host the winner of the IUP–West Chester quarterfinal, while East Stroudsburg University will await the Shippensburg–Bloomsburg victor.

All six squads are nationally ranked top-ten competition: No. 1 Kutztown, No. 2 Shippensburg, No. 4 East Stroudsburg, No. 5 West Chester, No. 6 Bloomsburg, and No. 10 IUP.

The 2025 South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Field Hockey Championship is set, with Newberry claiming the regular-season crown and the No. 1 seed. The Wolves will host both the semifinals and championship rounds on their home turf next weekend, looking to extend an undefeated season into postseason play.

The tournament begins with quarterfinal play on Tuesday, November 4, as No. 4 seed Wingate hosts No. 5 seed Converse and No. 3 seed Lander hosts No. 6 seed Lincoln Memorial. A bye in the first round, No. 1 seed Newberry and No. 2 seed Belmont Abbey will await their semifinal opponents for Friday, November 7. The final will take place on Sunday, November 9.

No. 3 nationally ranked Newberry capped off Senior Day and Halloween night with a 4-0 victory over Belmont Abbey, keeping their perfect record intact at 16-0 overall and 10-0 in conference play. The Wolves wasted no time asserting control, striking first in the 8th minute with a goal from Division II's national points per game leader (3.44) Parker Keeler. Emma Westbrook found the third goal of the night, bringing her total goals on the season up to a whopping 21.

Belmont Abbey, finishing the regular season at 9-7 overall, earned the No. 2 seed and will play in the semifinals against the winner of the No. 3 seed Lander vs. No. 6 seed Lincoln Memorial quarterfinal matchup.

No. 7 in the nation, Lander barely missed out on a higher spot, falling to Newberry by scores of 3-2 and 2-1 (OT), and 3-2 to Belmont Abbey. Following their best season in program history, Lincoln Memorial will be appearing in their first ever conference tournament match.

Rounding out the six-team bracket are No. 4 seed Wingate and No. seed 5 Converse, who will rematch in the quarterfinal after Converse took a 3-0 victory back in September.
