FIH Hockey Women’s Junior World Cup Athletes Competing in the NCAA Semifinals
SANTIAGO, Chile – The 2025 FIH Hockey Women’s Junior World Cup (JWC) is 11 days away, but in just one day several Junior Eagles will be participating in the NCAA Field Hockey Tournament Semifinals.
Nearly all of the U.S. U-21 Women’s National Team athletes slated to compete in Santiago, Chile are student-athletes who played field hockey this fall. The American college circuit is a unique experience that gives the athletes a competitive edge leading up to the JWC. Four athletes on the JWC roster will be competing in the NCAA Division I Semifinals.
"I’m proud of Reese, Dani, Olivia, Juliana, and U-21 staff members Manuel and Caitlin. Earning a spot in the NCAA Semifinals shows the fight, competitiveness and edge they bring to our Junior Eagles family," said Ange Bradley, U-21 USWNT Head Coach. "Division I hockey is unforgiving and hard. It teaches resilience, demands self-discipline, and requires proactive behavior and elite time-management to balance academics, travel, hockey and life. These skills matter — and that hardness is our advantage. It’s why this group can reset quickly and attack the Junior World Cup without fear.
"As we pivot into the Junior World Cup, we must unite fast and raise our speed of play from the college game to the international standard. When we meet at the airport, we’ll step forward with pride, united in purpose, and relentless intent."
Congratulations to the following Junior USWNT athletes and their teams on advancing to the NCAA Tournament Semifinals!
