Charlotte, N.C. — USA Field Hockey is excited to announce that the 2026 High Performance Summit (HPS) will take place Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, 2026 at the United States Performance Center (USPC) in Charlotte, N.C. The HPS comes at an exciting time, as the U.S. Women’s National Team prepares for the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup this August.

With the USWNT in residency at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, the HPS offers coaches a rare opportunity to step inside a true high-performance environment during a critical phase of preparation. The event will feature members of the USWNT staff, including Head Coach David Passmore, and will provide an inside look at the standards, preparation, and daily work required to compete on the world stage.

“As we prepare for the FIH Hockey World Cup this August, every part of our environment has to be intentional,” said Craig Parnham, USA Field Hockey’s High Performance Director. “Preparation is not just about training sessions. It is about building clarity, consistency, and connection every single day so the team is ready for what the World Cup will demand. The HPS gives coaches a chance to see that process up close and better understand how all of those pieces come together in a high performance setting.”

“This is an important moment for our group as we build toward the FIH Hockey World Cup in Belgium and the Netherlands,” said Passmore. “These women are working incredibly hard every day, and that commitment is showing in the way they train, compete, and support one another. To be able to share part of that preparation with coaches through the HPS is meaningful, because it gives others a chance to see what goes into performing on the world stage.”

Designed for coaches of all levels, the HPS will combine live observation, applied learning, and interactive sessions focused on team culture, tactical development, decision-making under pressure, and athlete-centered coaching. Participants will leave with practical ideas, fresh perspective, and a deeper understanding of what it takes to prepare athletes for high level competition.

At a time when the USWNT is building toward one of the biggest events in international hockey, the 2026 HPS promises to be an energizing and memorable experience while continuing USA Field Hockey’s commitment to elevating coach education across the country. It also reinforces the importance of coaching as a profession at every level, recognizing that great coaches do far more than teach skills. They shape environments, inspire growth, and influence the future of the game.
