Senior Indoor Programs to Compete at 2026 Big Apple International Indoor Championship
SPRING CITY, Pa. – The U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Indoor Teams will compete this weekend, February 27 1 to March 1, 2026, at the Big Apple International Indoor Championship, an International Hockey Federation (FIH) Sanctioned Event. Taking place at The Training Center, the event format includes three divisions of collegiate, men and women where a champion will be crowned in each.
“We’re really excited to see some of our newer athletes get the opportunity to compete against international and top-level opponents at the 2026 Big Apple International Indoor Championship,” commented Pat Cota, Indoor USMNT Head Coach. “Experiences like this are invaluable for their growth. It challenges them, raises their standards, and gives them a real sense of what it takes to perform on the world stage.”
The USA Wolves will be led by Bobby Alexander, as Cota is abroad in Ismailia, Egypt with the senior USMNT for the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup Qualifier.
“This tournament is a good benchmark for our program,” added Joep van der Coelen, Indoor USWNT Head Coach. “Every team on the schedule brings a unique challenge, which is exactly the environment we need. I’m incredibly proud of the roster we’ve assembled, and I can't wait to see this group of athletes step up, compete, and showcase the depth of talent we have within the indoor team."

The men will only have a final, where the 1st and 2nd place finishing teams will meet. For the women, the teams that finish 1st through 4th will be placed into the semifinals, while those 9th through 12th will go into crossover matches.
