Indoor USWNT Staff Names New Squad & Athletes to Attend February Development Team Camp
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Following the two tryouts in December, U.S. Women’s National Indoor Team Head Coach Joep Van Der Coelen is pleased to name the U.S. Women’s National Indoor Team and a group selected for a Development Team Camp in February.
“More than 100 athletes participated in the tryouts held in Mt. Olive, N.J. and Fitchburg, Mass.,” commented Van Der Coelen. “The strong turnout highlights the growing interest and depth of talent within the women’s indoor game. From the beginning session until the end, there was an impressive level of play, enthusiasm, and commitment.”
The first tryout was held December 13 and 14 in Mount Olive, N.J. and the second was December 20 and 21 in Fitchburg, Mass. Over the course of the two weekends the athletes brought intensity, effort, and, most importantly, joy to the court. The combination of competitiveness and fun created an outstanding environment for development and the staff evaluation.

Athletes named to the Development Team Camp will attend the sessions February 7 and 8 in Mt. Olive, N.J. From there, a roster that will compete at the 2026 CanAm Indoor Series, set for March 14-15 in Mt. Olive, N.J., will be named.
