TAMPA, Fla. - November 28, 2019 - Another Thanksgiving under the palm trees has come to a close as the first day of the 2019 National Hockey Festival, presented by CranBarry, kicked off at the Tournament Sportsplex of Tampa Bay in Tampa, Fla. More than 140 teams competed in the first day of competition, while some sharpened their skills at the men’s clinic held midday in preparation for the All-Boys U-17 7v7 tournament the next two days. Drills and a short skills session were led by former U.S. Men’s National Team athlete Jarred Martin for boys and men in an effort to continue to grow the game. There was plenty of action going on as players traded turkey legs for field hockey sticks and created lasting memories along the way. Check out the highlights from the first day! See someone you know? Make sure to tag them!
