2022 Masters Indoor World Cup Rosters Named Following Tryouts

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – In February 2022, USA Field Hockey will be hosting the nation’s first international masters event in the World Masters Hockey (WMH) Masters Indoor World Cup (MIWC) at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va. To prepare for the event, the U.S. Men’s and Women’s Masters Committees held tryouts for the participating teams and are pleased to announce the rosters and training squads to represent Team USA.

 

The U.S. Masters tryouts were held July 10 and July 11. The men’s took place at the Indian Creek School in Crownsville, Md. with the women’s held at the Marple Sports Arena in Broomall, Pa.

 

The men would like to thank Luke Govia, Stephen Nodder, Nick Richardson and Nigel Traverso for their dedicated work, along with Chris Pereira and all of the other many volunteers. The women had more than 70 participants up for evaluation between the in-person and virtual submission opportunity. The committee would like to thank everyone who attended and the selectors, as well as extend gratitude to Meghan Plank for her assistance in organizing the weekend tryout.

The MIWC will take place February 15 to 20 at the at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va. USA Field Hockey and the 2022 WMH Indoor Hockey World Cup Committee will be seeking volunteers and sponsors to support the tournament’s organization and execution.
