2021 NIT Starts This Weekend with U-14 Girls Division

by USA Field Hockey

LANCASTER, Pa. – The long awaited moment for hundreds of athletes is nearly here as the 2021 National Indoor Tournament (NIT), presented by YOLO Sportswear, is set to get underway this weekend with the U-14 Girls Division. The four-day tournament taking place February 12 to 15 at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, Pa., marks the first USA Field Hockey National Event since programming was interrupted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the spring 2020.
With that, athletes, parents, spectators and umpires can anticipate seeing a number of changes at this year’s NIT. To help alleviate questions and concerns, check out what to expect and where to find essential information before heading to the courts.
NIT Event COVID-19 Health & Safety Policies
USA Field Hockey will be following strictly enforced, pre-determined mandates for all NIT event weekends. These health and safety policies will be standard across all event weekends and may be adjusted at any time before or during the event by recommendations and mandates from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state guidelines regulations. Additional COVID-19 procedures can be found in the NIT Club Information Packet.
2021 National Indoor Tournament Event Program
In addition to ensuring the health and safety of all teams, coaches, spectators and families, it is highly recommended that individuals become familiar with, and bookmark, the official 2021 NIT Event Program on their mobile devices before the event. Like year’s past, the program will provide critical and up-to-date information, including venue maps that detail all staging areas for athletes in accordance with COVID-19 Health & Safety Policies, scores, rosters, vendor information and more.
Please note that due to current guidelines, all schedules, scores and results will not be posted on-site, but rather in the Schedules & Results section of the Event Program through Tourney Machine. It is also recommended attendees install the Tourney Machine application. Once the app is downloaded and opened:

  • Go to Events
  • Search for an Event
  • Filter for the state the tournament is being played in
  • Choose USA Field Hockey National Indoor Tournament for the age group you are attending.
