DII: Southern Connecticut vs. Pace | 6:00 p.m. ET | NE10 NOW

Southern Connecticut (2-8, 2-6 NE10) plays Pace (8-5, 6-4 NE10) at 6:00 p.m. ET in Pleasantville, N.Y. on Thursday evening in the first of two back-to-back matchups between these programs.

Southern Connecticut enters this game after most recently dropping a 6-0 decision to Bentley in Northeast 10 play on Tuesday. Bentley got on the board early after netting the game winner on a penalty stroke in the 3rd minute of play. Sam Simione was a key player against the Owls scoring a hat trick registering just her second, third and fourth goals of the season. Southern Connecticut was held to zero shots and one penalty corner throughout the contest. Goalkeeper Janelle Ward tallied 12 saves on the 18 shots she faced. 

Pace looks to continue their success after a 4-0 victory against American International on Tuesday. After a scoreless first half, Pace got their game winner late in the third quarter off of Cienna Boshers first goal of the match. Bosher and two other Setters extended the lead by three during the fourth quarter. Pace finished the match with 19 shots and eight penalty corners.

These programs last met nearly two years ago on October 15, 2019, where Pace captured a close 2-1 victory. Pace leads all-time matchups 7-0 with their first-ever meeting taking place on October 27, 2015. 

DIII: Framingham State vs. New England College | 7:00 p.m. ET | NEC Athletics

Framingham State (4-7, 1-7 MASCAC) faces New England College (9-5, 2-3 NECC) at 7:00 p.m. Thursday night. 

Framingham last played this past Tuesday against Southern Maine where they lost by a one goal margin in double overtime. With both goals scored in the first half of regulation, the score was tied at one all heading into the first period of overtime. The difference maker came in the 72nd minute off a goal from Samantha Ellis. Ellis also scored the first goal of the game just 31 seconds into the match. Framingham State tallied 13 total shots and generated eight penalty corner opportunities. 

New England College will look to get back in the wins column after dropping their two most recent contest. The Pilgrims last played against Thomas (ME) on Tuesday where they lost 5-6 in overtime. It was their second straight overtime loss with the previous coming at the hands of Maine-Farmingotn, 3-2. There were plenty of goals to go around with Meaghan McCamish and Drea Chin leading the way for New England College with two goals each. Chins second goal marked her 18th of the season so far. Thomas’Britney Gregoire was the difference maker in the end not only forcing extra time but scoring the game winner less than a minute into the first overtime period. 

Framingham and New England College last met on September 7, 2019. That game ended in overtime with New England taking home a 2-1 win.

DI: Monmouth vs. New Hampshire | 2:00 p.m. ET | AmericaEast.TV

In this Friday afternoon America East (AE) matchup, Monmouth (7-5, 2-2 AE) travels to Durham, N.H. to take on New Hampshire (3-9, 1-3 AE) on Memorial Field at 2:00 p.m. ET.

Monmouth most recently hosted AE opponent Stanford, where they won by a score of 3-1. This marked the first win for the Hawks over Stanford dating back to 2019 and making the all-time record 1-3. Its worth noting that Stanford played this match without a goalkeeper. Getting on the scoresheet for Monmouth was Annick van Lange in the 8th minute of play and Hanna McKie with two in the second and third quarters. 

New Hampshire last played on October 10 against Albany. The Wildcats dropped that game at home 2-1 in an AE regular season game. New Hampshire got on the board first with a goal from Ava Mariani, marking her first of the season. Albany responded with two unanswered in the second and fourth quarters. Albany ended with 17 shots to New Hampshires six and led in penalty corners 5 to 4. 

The last meeting between thsee two programs ended in a 5-1 decision in favor of Monmouth back on April 11, 2021. This bumps the all-time record to 2-0 for the Hawks.

DII: Mercyhurst vs. No. 3 Millersville  | 3:00 p.m. ET | Ville Sports Network

Mercyhurst (1-11, 1-4 PSAC) will make a trip to Millersville, Pa. to face Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) competitors No. 3 Millersville (10-2, 3-2 PSAC) on Friday at 3:00 p.m. ET.

Mercyhurst got their first win of the season in their most recent game against Seton Hill in dramatic double overtime fashion. After a scoreless first quarter, Mercyhurst got on the board twice before halftime with goals from Katie Goodenow and Lexi Odrobina. Kayla Gill forced overtime in the 57th minute of play with a deflection on the post. Securing the victory for the Lakers was Jenna Cavalieri posting her fourth goal of the season. Mercyhurst led in shots 21 to 13 but trailed in penalty corners 7 to 8.

Millersville last played on Tuesday at No. 1 Shippensburg. The Marauders dropped that game 2-0 behind goals from Jazmin Petantonio and Adrienne McGarrigle. Despite Shippensburg’s 21 shots, goalkeeper Kerstin Koons registered 10 saves on the day. Millersville has only lost two games this season with both to the No. 1 and No. 2 ranked teams and have managed to score 52 goals so far.

September 27, 2019 was the last time Millersville and Mercyhurst faced each other. The Marauders comfortably won that game 6-0 extending the all-time record to 16-2. Millersville is on a 16-game win streak against Mercyhurst that dates back to 2008. 

DIII: Shenandoah vs. Bridgewater  | 7:00 p.m. ET | Team1Sports

Shenandoah (11-1, 4-0 ODAC) faces Bridgewater (5-8, 2-2 ODAC) at 7:00 p.m. ET in Bridgewater, Va. for an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) regular season game.

Shenandoah is coming into this game on an eleven-game win streak after most recently capturing a 3-1 win over Roanoke on Wednesday. The Hornets got on the scoresheet early, 36 seconds into the game on a goal from Mairead Mckibbin. They extended the lead just before halftime through Cassidy Morrison, but Roanoke responded a minute and half later. Kelsey Jones closed out the scoring as Shenandoah registered 18 shots on goal and earned five penalty corners.

Bridgewater posted an impressive win of their own this past Tuesday against Ferrum. The Eagles won 6-0 with Emily Tyler scoring the game winner and her 14th goal of the year in the 3rd minute of play. Adding three of her own was Erin Dameron who scored once in the first, second and third quarters. Bridgewater led in shots 17 to 7 and in penalty corners 9 to 7. 

The last time the Hornets and Eagles met was back on April 13, 2021. Shenandoah came out victorious handing Bridgewater a 4-0 loss. While Shenandoah is on a five-game win streak, the all-time record sits at 14 to 7 in favor of Bridgewater.

DI: Penn vs. Brown | 12:00 p.m. ET | ESPN+

In an Ivy League regular season game, Penn (4-6, 1-2 Ivy) will face Brown (6-6, 2-1 Ivy) at 12:00 p.m. ET in Providence, R.I. 

Penn won their last game against Cornell 2-1 in overtime on Saturday. After both teams scored in the first quarter, the game went scoreless until Meghan Ward netted home the game winner for the Quakers with 6 seconds remaining in the first overtime period. Overall, Penn led in shots 18 to 8 and penalty corners 10 to 6. Goalkeeper Paumen Sabien totaled six saves on the day. 

Brown is looking to bounce back after dropping an overtime battle to Lafayette. The Leopards got on the board first, but the Bears leveled the score in the fourth quarter with a tipped shot on a penalty corner from Stacy Lukasheva, marking her first of the season. With 3 minutes remaining in the first overtime period, Lafayette scored on a tip from top of the circle. The stats finished relatively even with both teams registering five shots on goal but Brown leading the way in penalty corners 8 to 3.

Penn won 3-2 in the last meeting from November 2, 2019. Penn leads the all-time record 14 to 2 with their last loss coming in October 2010. 

DII: Molloy vs. No. 4 Assumption | 1:00 p.m. ET | NE10 NOW

In a Northeast 10 conference game Molloy (0-8, 0-6 NE10) will host No. 4 Assumption (12-1, 9-0 NE10) in Worcester, Mass. with a 1:00 p.m. ET. start time on Saturday.

Molloy looks for their first win this season after most recently dropping a 2-0 decision to No. 7 Stonehill on Wednesday. Molloy held Stonehill to a scoreless first quarter, but the game winner came from Claudia Crowe in the 22nd minute of play. Stonehill tacked on one more early in the fourth quarter off a penalty corner to make the final score 2-0. The Lions only managed to tally one shot on the day and earned zero penalty corners to Stonehills 19. Molloy goalkeeper Kelsey Price registered six saves on the day. 

Assumption looks to extend their 12-game win streak after posting a close 2-1 win over No. 7 Stonehill on Wednesday. Locked at zeros after the first quarter, Assumption got on the board in the second and third from goals by Summer Walsh and Jenna Graf. Stonehill scored late in the fourth, but their comeback fell short as the Greyhounds tallied the win. Assumption narrowly led in shot 9 to 8 and penalty corners 7 to 5.

Historically, Assumption leads in meetings 2 to 0. The last contest occurred back on October 29, 2019 where Assumption took home a 5-0 victory. 

DIII: Wesleyan vs. Bates | 12:00 p.m. ET | NSN

Wesleyan (5-6, 1-5 NESCAC) squares off with Bates (4-7, 1-6 NESCAC) in regular season New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) play at 12:00 p.m. ET in Lewiston, Maine.

Wesleyan looks to stay in the win column after most recently breaking a two-game losing streak with their 4-1 victory against Roger Williams. Three minutes into the second quarter, Diana Schwarz notched her seventh goal of the year off a rebound. Roger Williams responded with a goal of their own one minute after the halftime break. The game winner came from Melanie Lim on a direct shot from a penalty corner. Wesleyan led in shots 22 to 11 and in penalty corners 14 to 5. 

Bates most recently dropped their seventh game of the season to No. 8 Amherst, 1-0. The only goal of the game came 11 minutes into the contest off a shot from Muffie Mazambani. Despite the loss, Bates led in shots 18 to 11 and in penalty corners 10 to 4. Goalkeeper Grace Biddle saved four of the shots she faced on the day.

In their last meeting, Bates took home a 2-1 victory over Wesleyan. Wesleyan leads the all-time record 13 to 7. Bates is currently on a five-game series win streak that dates back to the 2015 regular season.

DI: Richmond vs. No. 21 Massachusetts | 1:00 p.m. ET | ESPN+

Richmond (4-9, 2-4 A10) travels to Amherst, Mass. to take on the No. 21 Massachusetts (9-4, 2-1 A10) in an Atlantic 10 contest at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday.

Richmond will look to bounce back after dropping a 3-0 decision to Boston College last Sunday. After a scoreless first quarter, Boston College got on the board one minute into the second off of a Margo Carlin goal. Richmond managed to tally nine shots and earn six penalty corners throughout the game. Spider goalkeeper Erika Latta finished with nine saves, just one shy of matching her career high of ten.

Massachusetts looks to continue their three-game win streak against Richmond after most recently beating Yale, 3-0. The score was 0-0 at the half with Josie Roassbach netting the game winner, and her second of the season, for the Minutewomen in the 37th minute of play. Georgie McTear tallied two more goals in the fourth quarter to secure their win against the Bulldogs. UMass totaled 17 shots and earned 13 penalty corners.

In these program’s last matchup during the 2019 season, Richmond captured a 3-1 victory against Massachusetts in the Atlantic 10 Tournament Semifinals.  

DII: Converse  vs. Queens | 12:00 p.m. ET

Converse (6-5, 5-3 SACC) will host Queens (4-8, 3-6 SACC) in Spartanburg, S.C. for a 12:00 p.m. ET matchup in South Atlantic Conference Carolinas (SACC) play.

Converse will play Newberry before this Sunday contest with Queens. In their most recent game, the Valkyries beat Frostburg State, 3-1. The match was all decided in the second half with all four goals being scored after halftime. Lotte Kanters netted the deciding goal in the fourth quarter off an assist from Mira Polzer. Converse finished the game with 23 shots and also led in penalty corner opportunities, 5 to 1. 

Queens looks to continue their success after posting a 6-1 win against Belmont Abbey on Tuesday night. It was a come from behind victory with Belmont Abbey getting on the board first just three minutes into play. The Royals went on to score six unanswered goals from six different goal scorers. Queens was extremely efficient in the circle after converting on six of their ten shots on target. Queens also trailed in penalty corners 12 to 8.

Converse walked away with a 3-1 victory in their last matchup earlier this season on September 19, 2021. Queens leads the all-time record 6-2 with Converse breaking the Royals five-game win streak after the last result. 

DIII: Wooster vs. DePauw | 12:00 p.m. ET

Wooster (5-5, 1-2 NCAC) takes on DePauw (4-7, 2-1 NCAC) in this North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) meeting on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. ET. 

Wooster looks to get back in the win column after most recently losing to Ohio Wesleyan, 2-1. Wooster held Ohio Wesleyan scoreless in the first quarter but with three minutes remaining in the half, Emily Streeter scored to give their opponents the 1-0 lead. Wooster rallied to notch the equalizer on a tip in goal from Ciara O’Connor with under 10 minutes remaining. Both teams had a game-winning chance in the final minute of regulation, but it was Ohio Wesleyan’s Meghan Knee goal with 57 remaining in the overtime period who scored for the win. Wooster goalkeeper Zoe Semersky had a career-high 14 saves on the game.

DePauw looks to extend their win streak to three after two away wins at Oberlin and Allegheny. The Tigers defeated Allegheny 1-0 with the game winner coming in the first quarter from Allison Quackenbush. DePauw finished the match with 16 shots, six penalty corners and six saves.  

Monday, October 18, 2021 

DI: No. 13 Harvard vs. Boston University | 6:00 p.m. ET | ESPN+

No. 13 Harvard (10-1, 3-0 Ivy) makes a trip down the road to face Boston University (2-11, 0-3 PL) for a 6:00 p.m. ET meeting at New Balance Field.

Harvard most recently faced Ivy League opponent Yale last Saturday. The Crimson handed the Bulldogs a 3-1 loss keeping them perfect in Ivy League play so far. With a 1-1 tie heading out of halftime, Harvard secured the win with a goal from Megan Joel off a penalty corner. Joel added another just one minute later off another successful penalty corner execution. Harvard led on shots 19 to 4 and in penalty corners 9 to 3.

Boston University look to break a ten-game losing streak with their last win occurring on September 3 against New Hampshire. The Terriers last played at No. 19 Connecticut on Sunday where they lost by a score of 8-0. The Terriers held UConn to a scoreless first quarter with the game winner coming in the 22nd minute of play from Sophia Ugo. Boston ended the game with ten shots and four penalty corners. Goalkeepers Caroline Kelly and Kate Thomason totaled a collective eight saves. 

Boston University leads the all-time record 20 to 16, with Harvard winning the last four contests. The last game between the two programs dates back to October 30, 2019 where Harvard walked away with a 4-1 victory. 

DII: Southern New Hampshire vs. Saint Anselm | 6:00 p.m. ET | NE10 NOW

Southern New Hampshire (2-8, 2-6 NE10) takes on Saint Anselm (10-3, 8-2 NE10) in Manchester, N.H. at 6:00 p.m. ET for a non-conference game.

Southern New Hampshire looks to stay in the win column after last facing Saint Michaels on Tuesday, where they beat the Purple Knights 3-2 in overtime. Both teams started the scoring off in the first quarter within two minutes of each other. Southern New Hampshire went ahead in the third quarter with Saint Michaels Petra Bajuk forcing overtime in the 56th minute. Taylor Marchman netted the game winner with four minutes remaining in the first overtime period off a breakaway tap in. Saint Michaels led in both shots 19 to 18 and penalty corners 12 to 7.

Saint Anselm defeated Franklin Pierce 5-0 on Wednesday. The teams were tied at zero heading after the first quarter. The Hawks scored their game winner six minutes into the second on a penalty corner tip from Carly Lacasse. Saint Anselm led in shots 25 to 11 and penalty corners 16 to 5. Goalkeeper Mackenzie McConnell posted four saves while both Shelby Dunn and Grace Michael added defensive saves for the Hawks.

In their last meeting earlier this season on October 6, 2021, Saint Anselm captured a 2-0 win. In their 12 meetings so far, Saint Anselm has never dropped a match against the Penmen.  

Tuesday, October 19, 2021

DII: No. 1 Shippensburg vs. Seton Hill | 4:00 p.m. ET

Undefeated No. 1 Shippensburg (11-0, 6-0 PSAC) travels to Greensburg, Pa. to face Seton Hill (1-11, 0-5 PSAC) for a midweek game at 4:00 p.m. ET.

Shippensburg has yet to drop a game this season most recently capturing their eleventh win in a row against No. 3 Millersville on Tuesday. Jazmin Petrantonio scored her 19th goal of the season and the game winner against the Marauders one minute into the second quarter. Adrienne McGarrigle netted her third of the season to make it 2-0 with ten minutes remaining in regulation. Shippensburg dominated the stats sheet with 21 shots and eight penalty corners.

Seton Hill looks to win their first game since their victory over Frostburg State on September 2. Their last game ended in dramatic double overtime fashion, falling to Mercyhurst 3-4. Seton Hill had three different goal scorers in Gabriella Oxley, Olivia Diebel and Jade Taylor. Seton Hill led in penalty corners 8 to 7 but trailed in shots on goal 15 to 9. Goalkeeper Shannon Mccormac registered 11 saves on the day. 

Historically, Shippensburg holds an 11-0 lead in all-time meetings. In their last matchup on October 22, 2019, the Raiders took home a 5-0 win over the Griffins behind five first half goals. The first meeting between the two programs dates back to the 2012 regular season. 

DIII: Smith vs. Amherst | 6:00 p.m. ET

Smith (4-9, 2-3 NEWMAC) faces Amherst (9-2, 5-2 NESCAC) on Hill Field at 6:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday evening.

Smith will play Worcester Polytechnic Institute prior to their meeting with Amherst. The Pioneers most recently dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 decision to Western New England on Wednesday. Smith scored in the first three minute on a goal from Grace Moorhead. They held Western New England scoreless until the third where they found the equalizer. As regulation time ticked down it looked like it was going to go into overtime, but the Golden Bears netted the game winner with under a minute to play.

Amherst looks to build on their two-game win streak after edging out Bates 1-0 in their last game this past Sunday. In New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) play, the game was decided early in the 11th minute when Muffie Mazambani scored her eighth of the season and the lone goal of the game. Amherst defense held strong as Bates tallied 18 shots and had ten penalty corner opportunities. 

Amherst captured a 2-1 victory over Smith the last time these programs played. Amherst now leads 20-0 in all-time meetings dating back to 2000.

DI: William & Mary vs. No. 14 Virginia | 3:00 p.m. ET | ESPN+

William and Mary (2-8, 2-1 CAA) face instate opponent No. 14 Virginia (7-5, 2-2 ACC) in this rematch game from earlier this season at 3:00 p.m. ET Wednesday afternoon in Charlottesville, Va. 

William and Mary will come into this game after playing Drexel and Delaware over the weekend. In the Tribes most recent game against Towson, William and Mary were edged 2-1 in overtime. After a scoreless first half, Towson got on the board first. William and Mary forced overtime with a goal in the 49th minute from Jayden Moon off a penalty corner. With two minutes left in the first overtime period, Towson slid one past goalkeeper Maddie George. 

Virginia last played against Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) foe Boston College. The Cavaliers dropped a 1-0 overtime thriller to the Eagles. The game was scoreless after regulation with Virginia tallying 12 shots to BCs six during the 60-minute timeframe. Elizabeth Warner scored the difference maker in the 63rd minute of play dropping Virginia to 2-2 in ACC regular season competition. 

This matchup will mark the 51st time these programs have met. Virginia leads the record 32-16-2 with their most recent matchup ending in a 5-0 victory for the Cavaliers. William andMary got their last win over Virginia on October 13, 2013. 

DII: No. 10 Indiana University of Pa. vs. Frostburg | 6:00 p.m. ET | MountainEast.TV

No. 10 Indiana University of Pennsylvania (8-3, 3-3 PSAC) heads to Frostburg, Md. to play Frostburg (1-11, 0-0) at 6:00 P.M. at Bobcat Stadium.

Indiana looks to rebound after dropping a 2-0 decision to Mansfield on Wednesday, and first loss in nearly two weeks. The Mounties dominated offensively, outshooting the Crimson Hawks 17 to 5 and earning 14 penalty corners to IUP’s seven. It took Mansfield less than four minutes to get on the board. Mansfield turned up the pressure in the second half, outshooting IUP 11-0 in the third quarter alone. The Mounties made it 2-0 with a goal in the 42 minute from Alex Easterling.

Frostburg looks to register their first victory since defeating Seton Hill 2-1 back on September 28. They most recently dropped a 3-1 decision to Converse on senior day last Saturday. Getting on the scoresheet was Heidi Van Dyk off of a successful penalty corner conversion. Frostburg only registered one shot and one penalty corner in the game and was able to capitalize to close the gap with Converse. 

The last meeting between Frostburg and IUP was on September 7, 2019, where the Crimson Hawk took home a 5-1 victory. The last game marked the first time these programs met.  

DIII: Franklin & Marshall vs. No. 2 Johns Hopkins | 7:00 p.m. ET | CentennialConference.TV

Franklin and Marshall (5-6, 1-4 CC) takes on No. 2 Johns Hopkins (13-0, 6-0 CC) in Centennial Conference (CC) play at 7:00 p.m. in Baltimore, Md.

Franklin and Marshall last faced Dickinson, where they narrowly fell, 2-1. Jessica Miller got the Diplomats on the board with just four seconds remaining in the first quarter. Dickinson responded two minutes later and the game remained tied until the fourth quarter. Despite the next five shots on goal coming from Franklin & Marshall, it was Dickinson’s only shot on goal during the game that was the eventual game winner. Franklin and Marshall finished with 14 shots and seven penalty corner opportunities. 

Johns Hopkins will face Muhlenberg prior to their game with the Diplomats. The Blue Jays are coming off a dominant 7-0 win over McDaniel. An impressive 26 shots lead to six different goal scorers with Maura Minter tallying the final two of the game

In their last meeting, Franklin and Marshall handed Johns Hopkins a 3-1 loss, breaking a three-game win streak for the Blue Jays. The first-time these two programs met was back on October 23, 1976 in Lancaster, Pa.
