Following the opportunity for evaluation at the two Open Trial Weekends, U.S. Men’s National Team Head Coach Harry Singh and his staff have named the 2021-22 Senior and Development U.S. Men’s National Team rosters.

With opened arms, USA Field Hockey and the U.S. Women's National Team were officially welcomed to the city of Charlotte, N.C. on September 14 with a Team USA Media Day. An afternoon full of speakers, networking and the ability to watch a mock practice, more than 75 individuals were in attendance for the official welcome ceremony.

At the beginning of the month, USA Field Hockey announced that Jun Kentwell was named the assistant coach of the U.S. Men’s National Team and U-21 USMNT.
 

USA Field Hockey is pleased to announce the dates for the 2022 National Indoor Tournament (NIT) and 2022 National Indoor Festival (NIF). Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, Pa. and the Greater Richmond Convention Center in Richmond, Va. will again host the NIT, and the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va. will host the NIF.

USA Field Hockey announced the host locations for the 2022 National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers (NITQ), presented by YOLO Sportswear, for the U-16 and U-19 Girls age divisions. 
 
USA Field Hockey is pleased to release updated National Club Rankings following the 2021 summer events. These will be used to assign teams to their respective pools for the National Hockey Festival in November
 
The FIH revealed the match schedule of the FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup Belgium 2022, which will be held in the Country Hall of Liège on February 2 to 6. Following the announcement that Australia and New Zealand will unfortunately no longer be able to participate due to COVID-related international travel restrictions, they have been replaced by Namibia and USA (Men) as well as Canada and South Africa (Women).
With Australia and New Zealand no longer be able to participate in the FIH Odisha Hockey Men's Junior World Cup Bhubaneswar 2021 due to COVID-related international travel restrictions, both teams have been replaced by the USA and Canada.

The qualification process states that the Pan American Hockey Federation has the quota of the first reserve, the USA - who finished third of the recent Junior Pan American Championships.

PLAYING ADVANTAGE
The goalkeeper plays the ball legally which hits the foot of a defender. An attacker collects it and gets a shot off. The umpire plays advantage.

A free hit is awarded inside the circle, yet is tapped toward the top of the circle by a teammate. Was the free hit taken?
