Saints to Sponsor Field Hockey in 2024

BUFFALO, N.Y. – D'Youville University is pleased to announce it will be adding field hockey as its 19th varsity sport with the inaugural season beginning in the Fall of 2024.

The program will compete as an independent to start since the East Coast Conference does not sponsor field hockey as a varsity sport.

"This is an exciting day for the University and our athletics department," said Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Ona Halladay. "We are committed to gender equity, Title IX compliance, and creating opportunities for women to compete at the intercollegiate level and beyond."

A national search will begin immediately for D'Youville's first field hockey head coach.
