COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Following a 3-day training camp held in Davidson, N.C., USA Field Hockey’s women’s Junior High Performance Staff have evaluated and finalized the rosters for the 2023 U.S. U-16 and U-18 Women’s National Teams.

“It is always nice to see the amount of talent we have across the country in this age group and therefore we had some tough decision to make,” said Tamara Durante, U-16 USWNT Head Coach. “We are excited about the players we’ve selected to the U-16 Squad, and we look forward to our March camp and the opportunity to work with these young ladies in preparation for our foreign tour.”

“First of all congratulations to the athletes selected for the U-18 squad this year,” commented Ralph Boersma, U-18 USWNT Head Coach. “The training camp provided a highly competitive environment that challenged each individual. We continued to build on our core team principles within ‘The USA Way’ and are looking forward to take the next steps in this process at the March camp. The goal is to prepare the group for international competition later on without losing sight of each individual’s growth. A huge thank you to Davidson and especially Hannah Fisher for the amazing hospitality throughout the entire weekend.”

The original selection camp for both age divisions was held December 27 to 30 in Houston, Texas, where a list of athletes was narrowed to be invited to the additional training this past weekend.
